OK..devils advocate here (as I do often). Since you seem to be having issues with woods and hybrids, you might consider looking for them instead. Why spend gobs of money on fancy irons when you will continue to have higher scores because of driver and fairway woods? Just thinking out loud here.

What the heck. I just ordered a 7 iron from them with a Dynamic Gold shaft. Used the shaft length and lie information from their online "efit" system. They suggest +.25 inch and +1 degree. Will let you know how it works out.

I think it depends on when they were made. I have 2 5woods circa early 90's and the are 20 and 21 degrees. They were both cheapo clubs (dunlop and First Flight) but they work really well for me.

Wilson Staff has a soft compression ball..I think its called Fifty Elite. I have also heard the Bridgestone Treosoft is fairly decent

I have one of their 2h and a 3 wood. I don't use the 3w any longer, but only because i found a Callaway 3w at an exceptional price. I will most likely use them again.

Silly question. Won't choking down on the club give you a similar outcome? I realize that swingweight can be affected, but wondering if this might be an easier fix to the longer shaft problem.

The problem with clothing today, is that each manufacturer has it's own idea of small, medium and large. My suggestion is to go to several different stores and find a brand or two that you look good in. I had the same problem growing up. In high school I was 6'2" and only about 135 and I liked my clothes to fit a bit snug. I think baggy clothes made me look even thinner..if that was possible. As an adult, I am now a svelte 185 and still like my clothes to fit well. Hopefully you will find a few brands that you are comfortable in.

Some of us like to see the Pros sweat a little for their paycheck. There are alot of factors at Pebble. Green size, wind, narrow fairways, nasty rough. After trying a number, I finally found one that I can hit with some consistancy. Callaway Big Bertha 2007 460. I aso use the 3w from the same line. Love em both.

Maybe you should quit while you're ahead. An extra 25 yards combined is quite nice. Unless, of course, you were only getting 100 yds with the King Cobra.
