  1. Tour Edge for me. After actually using their products, they are now my first choice. It's also a local company - Illinois - so I like the idea of supporting the local economy. Yes they are not a BIG name. Yes so and so touring pro doesn't have them in their bag. I don't care about stuff like that anymore. I care about a good product with good value and Tour Edge fits the bill in both categories. YMMV
  2. Just started using the Gamer v2, which was on the list and got pretty high marks. So far, so good. For me. YMMV
  3. Just ordered 2 dozen v2 Gamers from Amazon - $32.92 total.
  4. The putter shown here is way less than $200 http://www.touredge.com/products/geomaxputters.asp And they do have drivers less than $200. Shop around, you'll see. Now their Exotics are their top of the line clubs. They are more expensive, and get very good reviews.
  5. I had a different experience. I broke a hybrid, sent it back and got a new one. I did register the original club when I bought it.
  6. My whole bag, save for the putter is now Tour Edge. Geomax driver and 3 metal, QLS iron/hybrids. If they get stolen today (hope not), I'd replace them exactly as is tomorrow. I think they're great clubs and I like the idea of supporting a made in USA business. I wish them continued success.
  7. In the opinion of many, Tour Edge equipment is not considered crazy expensive.
  8. I believe Tour Edge products are American made. Batavia, Illinois
  9. While I don't own the Tour Edge Exotics mentioned, I do own many other Tour Edge clubs. Great clubs. Lifetime warranty. Hard to beat in my book. I am a big fan of Tour Edge.
  10. I've been working on what Michael McTiegue has to say in his Effortless golf swing book. I concentrate on proper foot/knee/hip/shoulder action as described in the book. No full swings, just trying to develop the muscle memory to accomplish what was said in the preceding sentence. The author calls it the lighthouse swing. I use a 7i and hit 30 balls. Then I chip and putt for 30 minutes. Equal time for each.
  11. No glove here. And no blisters either after I lightened my grip pressure. Slamin' Sammy used to say "hold the club like you would a bird". He said if you get blisters, you're squeezin' too hard.
  12. Add another vote for Tour Edge here. I have the GeoMax driver and 3 metal in my bag and intend to keep them there. Great clubs. Good value. Lifetime warranty.
  13. One of the best 200 or so players in the world.
  14. I agree with NormH3 and to add my own opinion of the Fed-X and I realize it was designed to add some spark/interest after all the majors are finished for the season. Heard too much of (in my twisted thinking) --- if Tiger comes in at a tie for third or worse and Stricker eats a hot dog for lunch, Phil has a chance. If Steve has a ham sandwich, then everything changes. And save the (too many) points for the other sports.
  15. Instead of lunch at work, I'm lucky to have a course with a good practice area about 5 minutes away, so lately I "eat lunch" at the course. I'm reading "The Keys to the Effortless Golf Swing" by Michael McTiegue and committed myself to do what he suggests in the book. I hit a small bucket, then chip and putt. I've been doing this, weather permitting, for several weeks now. Before that, I'd make it to the range maybe once a week or so. I wish I had the budget and time to get out and play more, but.....
