I know I do the slow motion drill (not that slow though) before/after I make an uncomfortable shot or before I need to make a "clutch" shot. It pays off in my opinion because it really slows your tempo and allows you to concentrate on the shot at hand, and what the circumstances require. I do not see how many people can walk up to the ball and just hit it without attempting some form of a practice swing or another. But that's just me...

Depends when I play--during the day, I use a 44" V2 stiff shaft on my 907D2. At night, it's a 6 5/8" xtra-stiff shaft of dy-no-mite straight into the green (sometimes on the fringe).

Nothing beats a Scotty putter, nothing. So your answer is YES!! Well worth the $325.

Woods and putters are not on the list. I struggle with a 3-wood, not a lot, but it happens. I think putting should be on there because I have seen some terrible putting strokes out there--it's where the game is made.

Don't worry, most people who say they carry it in the 180s don't do it accurately nor consistently. At the age of 13, 140 yards of carry is just fine.

Yeah you're right. "Old School" isn't necessarily the right term to use here. What I am trying to point out is that I didn't learn on the easier irons--just as those who started out 20-30 years ago.

I know for a fact that carry is around 285. Shoot, roll we're looking at another 10+ yards. I would love to have consistent 300+ drives. I just don't have that endurance yet.

Yep, i've played all the courses in and surrounding Birmingham--Oxmoor Valley, Capitol Hill, Grand National, and a few others whose names I cannot recall at this moment. All are absolutely superb--it's one hell of a bargain.

You want golf paradise? Move to Alabama and play the RTJ courses. Yearly memberships are incredibly affordable and the courses are hands down, some of the best I have ever played. This is coming from a guy who was born, raised, lives, and has played a lot of golf in Texas. Yep, that's where i'm moving--Alabama.
