I use Gore-Tex Paclite jacket and pants from Galvin Green . Being Paclite, it takes up no room in my bag, it looks great and also comes in a lot of different sizes. Like I went for "Long L" in pants. The normal Large was just slightly short for my liking. Has kept me 100% dry for a good 3 years - The jacket still looks brand new. Great quality.

Last (Golf) Thing You Bought?

I bought Galvin Green "Alf" trousers. Very happy with them. -
Love the Adidas 360. Keeps me dry no matter what, and really comfortable. Bit tight in the front maybe, but normally gets better after some use.

Cleveland CG Gold - Anyone got them?
supah replied to supah's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
Great, thanks for all the replies! Sounds good, Caddyshack. Looking forward hearing from you and how they are on the course! Might be able to check these out next week, and hopefully get me a set. -
Buying new irons, need opinions please
supah replied to Molon Labe's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
I found the r7 with stiff graphite shaft a bit "wobbly" and light in the backswing, if that makes any sense to you. Certainly noticed a big difference from steel. If you look away from any special type of shaft, I found both to be very similar when hitting and comparing them. -
Cleveland CG Gold - Anyone got them?
supah replied to supah's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
Thanks Cizzle. Appreciate that information! Awesome. Would be great to hear from you. I think they look great actually, judging from the pictures. Love how they look at address - Well, atleast that one club that they got pictures of. Have not seen the shoter irons. I have also tried Callaway and TM, but not yet this one. -
Anyone got these clubs, or tried them out? I would love to get some comments about them. - Are they easy to hit? - What shafts did you get with them? - Some say the short irons look weird or clunky. Is that so? - Do they look good at address? Havent found many good pictures of them in all angles. There's Cleveland's pictures, but hard to really see how they would look "in person".

Anyone pulled the trigger on the Titleist AP1s?
supah replied to GoingfortheGreen's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
I am really considering getting the AP1s, but what keeps me from ordering a set is that I got no chance to check them out or hit them myself. I do like how they look, just not 100% sure about that thick topline. Would love to hear some feedbacks on how they are. I have hit the Callaway x-20 and Taylormade r7 - Anyone who can compare the AP1s to these? Harder to hit? Just about the same feel? -
Id suggest you use a golf simulator to measure your distance, carry, angle and so on. I go to one regularly during the winter, and it's really great how you get accurate information on your shots.

I love the Dexter books, American Psycho and The Da-Vinci Code.

Well, keep in mind a beer can cost as much as $15 in Norway. One beer!

What make of glove do you wear...
supah replied to PutterHead's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
I use Titleist gloves. Just love them! I've tried a lot, but nothing beats the Titleist ones. I got big hands, so that sort of played a big part aswell. For rainy days I use FJ rain gloves. -
Hmm, a lot of sense in what you're saying. I'm gonna give it a go next time at the driving range. :)

It has been 1 year since last time I played golf, now finally being back I am on the range every day hitting those balls!

Shaft models for TaylorMade r7 irons
supah replied to supah's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
Yeah, I am keeping an eye on Ebay. Did some tests on my swing speed today, and it turns out it's around 90-95 mph roughly. Means a Regular steel shaft should be quite good for me I guess. And I think I'll just go for the stock shaft as you recommend. Save a few bucks! -
I could surely squeeze you in somewhere, x-forged. Give me a ring before your plane lands!

I am considering getting a new iron set and I really like the TaylorMade r7 irons. I have so far only tried them with a regular flex steel shaft, true temper-something I believe. Looking at Golfsmith's website and the Custom Club Fitting, I see there's a looot of choices regarding shaft model. Basically, should I care about exactly what brand I get (like T-step 90 by TT, Precision Tour Flighted Rifle or Nippon NS Pro 950), or mainly just focus on getting the right stiffness? I have so far only tried Regular, and really enjoyed them. But I will try some Stiff ones aswell, just to compare. I see all the different shaft models got different launch, varying from mid-high, mid to low launch. Now again, I have no idea what would be the best for me, but I guess a high launch would make it easier for the high handicapper? I am hitting the balls quite good and they are not "all over the place", so I do feel quite a difference between the different iron brands and shaft types. As said, regular steel shaft with regular height felt very good. But since I am getting a new set of clubs, I really wanna get what's best for me and not leave any options out. Thanks in advance. All help appreciated.

I can recommend the Taylormade Rossa putters aswell. Really like mine.
