  1. I hate the sound that the cobra drivers make, I have shot guns that are quieter than those drivers. I don't want my eardrums to rupture everytime I hit a tee-shot thank you very much. Never having hit one, I don't know how they play but the sound is such a turn off that I have never bothered to try them.
  2. ProforceV2's are awesome Fujikura speeders graffaloy prolaunch red and blues
  3. I have a 690MB 6 iron that I replaced my x-16 6 iron with because the feel is so great. I would go with the 695's over the Nike's because they feel like a buttery golf orgasm when you hit them pure.
  4. The flighted shafts are awesome, I love them. I demoed the X-forged with the 6.0 on them and loved every minute.
  5. I use grass every once in a while but I have never been under the influence golfing, maybe it would calm me down enough to play decent!
  6. Thats what tour pros have man, any day of the week its off to the tour van to get a new wedge for whatever the course throws at em. Lucky bastards
  7. I don't mind paying retail because I do it so rarely. My parents buy a lot of my stuff for me which is wonderful. I'm sure I'll appreciate it a lot more when Im on my own but I don't take it for granted now.
  8. I live in NH and Maine as well and all three of my CG10's have two dot bounces and they work great for me.
  9. I had no problem with the CG2 and I'm the same handicap as you, I'm looking at the MP-32s later this summer.
  10. At my local range we have a practice "hole", its 180 yards long and you can do anything from the rough to the tee box. On wet days I have spun back beat to hell range balls, such a good feeling.
  11. I play proV1's and X's, Generally I buy them new and not X-outs but lately I have picked up 3 doz boxes of X-outs and they perform wonderfully. For 25 bucks they can't be beat.
  12. I have never hit the I5's, however, I have hit the CG2's numerous times. You can't feel them! If you hit it in the center of the club face the material is so soft that you don't feel anything at all. This is something that I don't like about the clubs personally but that may be what your looking for. They are long and straight, very workable but forgiving. But I prefered MP-32's and 67's to them.
  13. awesome, welcome to a great game. It'll be tough at first but soon you'll hit shots that are sports center worthy. EDIT: golf is the best drug out there.
  14. Driver This driver is a handme down from my father, it was his first titanium driver and my second. My first driver was a TM r5 type D w/ regular flex shaft that I outgrew. I have outgrown this one too. 3 wood I don't even use this anymore because the weight in the back fell out so it feels like I'm swinging a rope, but agian another handme down from my dad. When it had the weight it was sweet, now it collects dust in my bag. hybrids The ping one sits and collects dust because I hook it so bad that I have given up on it, however the cleveland one is just amazing. Off the tee last weekend I was averaging over 230 off the tee with roll with it. The ping was a christmas gift and the cleveland was a replacement for a snapped 3 iron. Irons Again with the handme downs, these were my fathers first real set and he began to dislike them because he couldn't feel that he could hit steel shafts. So he got a new set with graphite shafts and I got a new set with steel ones. I am looking to replace these ASAP because they are old and slick. Wedges The pitching wedge was my first real good club that is MINE. I left my pw from my first set on the 18th green in a rain storm and m picked this one up as a replacement, I love it. However it is becoming quite slick due to the amount of use I give it. The sand wedge was my dads, he hit a bad shot with it, threw it in the woods. I rescued it. The lob wedge was mine from when I needed so I picked it up 2 years ago. Putter(s) The 34in Anser is now back in my dads bag but I have a 34in Tess that I stole from him. I love both but the anser will always be my girl. The general conscience is that 98% of my set is handme downs, and I think I need to change that and fast.
  15. If you are dedicated then I would definatly stay with those irons and learn how to play that way, your misses will be highlighted, so much so that at times it will be embarassing. But when you start to get grooved its like heaven, in fact I took out my x-16 6i and put in a titleist 690MB 6i because I love the feel and look of it so much. just my .02, go talk to a pro about it though.
  16. Our coach has brainwashed us into playing extrodinarly fast, like 1.5 hrs for 9 type fast. I average 40 or so on the front at my course playing this fast so no one can tell me that it hurts your game. Infact it helps because you don't have to think as much.
  17. We aren't going to sniff 50 in the next 10 days or so according to weather.com...I cried when my mother told me I didn't have school because of snow. :(
  18. Do all fifteen get letters, thats basically what I'm asking? Do all of those scores go into your school standings in your state and Division? Thats what our Varsity team is like.
  19. I'm definatly a self-centered a**, thank you for pointing that out. Infact you've really enlightened me and now I feel that I must change my ways. A two second tip is meant as friendly advice, I never give someone a half-hour lesson but merely a "How about pulling with your left arm instead of right". This is the internet and I'm never one to argue over cyberspace but I think you need to layoff big time buddy.
  20. Sorry man, thats what my post was about and maybe I should have quoted it. Anyway, Tom, how many people are on your varsity team? We have 12 kids that are on the team and half of them play varsity, the others are JV and Alternates.
  21. My post was in response to the starters topic.
  22. Thanks for telling me that because I wouldn't have known otherwise.
  23. http://www.golfcollege.edu/ ^where I'm attending school after highschool, out in Temecula, CA.
  24. I'm contemplating skipping school and staying home on thursday and friday to watch golf channel coverage, but I doubt that I'll do it. Nice thought though.
  25. Ill be a single digit by the end of the summer, guranteed
