Staying with the wight theme I have noticed that even when my weight is balanced and properly shifted I will hit it fat. I have recently discovered that when my weight is on my heels I have less balance and am often squatting like a skier and hit it fat. When my weight is up on the balls of my feet I have much better balance and posture. As a result I can make the proper turn and get the lag needed to get the swooshing sound at and after contact with the ball, then the ground. Balance is much better too. This is a discovery of Wednesday that I have been working on here in my house. I can't wait for my lesson in the morning!

I read that article too. IF true it is disturbing and I would love to know who did it. But as it is, it is just another website so it must be taken with a grain of salt.

I look forward to reading the HL, ball test and this list, but it is informational only. I don't plan purchases on an ad generated magazine. I look for real person reviews, my own experience, and pro advice.

This is basically my experience. Got some wedges from them. It was ok, but nothing special. Then all the phone calls started. I told them I wasn't interested. When the calls kept coming I decided to do a google search and found out what they are really all about. Next time they called I mentioned this and they quit calling for about a year. When they started again I told them to quit calling or I would be filing complaints. Haven't heard from them again. Forgot they exist really.

Driver - D- - Overall a pathetic performance here and if not for a few rare rounds of good driving this would be an F. I know I can do it...just a matter of getting it figured out and being consistent. Iron - C - Had some good days and had some bad days. Got better as the year ended. Short game - B- - Got much better late in the season after watching Phil's DVD a few times. Made my best shot ever this year with a 54* in my hand. Putter - C - Averaged about 2.15/hole this year. Not too bad but a recent lesson should really improve this quickly. Overall game - C - For someone of my ability I may be grading myself harsh, but I think this gives me somewhere to go. I have begun lessons and just had a complete custom fitting, so 2010 is looking very bright!

Not overrated in any sense, but I prefer the X Forged.

Definitely a laugh out loud moment. I followed Rory at the Colonial last year and it was a fun experience just listening to him interact and talk to himself, his caddy, and DiMarco.

My top 3 are WestRidge, Fossil Creek, and Winstar. I really like Tribute and Tour 18 but they are a little pricey for me. I like Castle Hills when the greens are good and want to play Bear Creek and Texas Star. I'm looking forward for my new clubs to come in and be built. Then the weather to warm enough to go and play with them!

Apex where do you normally play?

I thought it would be a tight game with 'Bama edging out Texas. Then when Colt went down I thought it was over. I am happy that it has stayed a good game and am hoping Texas can stage a comeback here.

Very true. But I was talking in terms of result not flight path. It will land/ roll to be straight to slightly left of center.

I am taking lessons from GolfTec and they are telling me I want a swing path Inside-Out at 2-6* with a club face open half of that path. So If I am I-O 4* my face needs to be open 2* to hit a straight shot.

I am a lefty but do almost everything right handed. I have thought about trying to go left handed before, but when I get the club I just feel lost.

Of all the traditional OEM brands I am partial to the Callaway. Vokey, Mizuno, and Cleveland are all solid, but the Cally just works best for me.

We are about to get the coldest weather I can ever remember around here. We have forecast lows in the 6-9* range with highs around 25* now until Saturday. Wind chills at or below 0. I know you northerners will scoff at this, but in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area it is a big deal. I'm just thankful we aren't looking at a snow storm. It's been a cold and wet winter so far. First white Christmas since the 1920s. We normally get about 3-4" a year and already I've seen 7-8". Good thing we have global warming though...we could have already got a couple of feet!

Well I just got fit for an almost full KZG bag.....

I can make full swings at full speed with my 58*......as long as I chock up to the base of the grip. When I forget to choke up on the club I can get a decent little mark on my ceiling. As a result I just use my Almost Golf balls to practice short game.

The best one is the ball with fire coming from it at about 1:12 GRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHRHRHRHHRHRHHHHHH!!!!

My entire bag is being replaced. In fact, the bag itself may be replaced. Once my fitting has been completed and the bag put together I will put the details in my sig area.

If you have a PGA Tour Superstore near you and it is like the two around me there will be several bays dedicated to demo wedges. There is a pretty good selection so you can try the different.
