I have a buddie that constantly "forgetting" strokes. What I do is when it comes down to marking the score down I always say "what did you get there a 7, or 6,or whatever he happened to get?" I don't even give him a chance to forget, and it lets him know I'm keeping track without actually telling him I'm keeping track.
  2. 18 hole course with driving range and putting green, 650$ a year just green fee's, or 12,500$ includes green fee's, one cart, and three friends green fee's for life. If you happen to move you can transfer the membership one time to someone, it then only covers green fee's for one, no cart, no friends, but it is still for life.
  3. I play with a guy that will slice his drive in the woods on the second hole, get mad, slam his club, then go sit in the cart, write an 8 on the score card, and not speak to anyone the rest of the round. I can deal with a guy who has an occasional outburst, but keeps playing, and is still sociable, but its hard to enjoy your round with someone who does'nt speak to anyone(especially if your riding with him).
  4. What he said.
  5. Tournaments and more tournaments, just about every weekend theres atleast one tournament. members get to shotgun start in mornings or afternoon depending on tourney start time. I was looking at their website and noticed the lifetime membership went up 500$, you can check out the course at neshobe.com
  6. I'd say it all depends on how much green fee's are. 45 rounds at what ever price = more than membership I say buy. As far as which one I would choose country club. My country club offers two types of membership, 600$ + tax + 500$ stock(one time fee) will get you green fee's only for the season, 12000$ + tax+ 500$ stock will get you green fee's for you and three buddy's and one cart rental for life. Was wondering if anybody else has lifetime options?
  7. The only difference I noticed from switching from graphite to steel was the feel of the club(seamed like the graphite shaft I could feel the weight of the club head better),and loss of distance(about 5 yards per club). As far as accuracy, could'nt really tell you to be honest, never kept stats to know for sure.
  8. I think this guy is trying to tell you to make sure you go to someone who knows what they are doing when and if you get fitted for a club.
  9. I have a skycaddie sg5 that has those features. I think they come in handy, if the gps say's 107 to the pin,am i good enough to hit a shot exactly 107 yards, no(i wish), but if i'm attacking the green from the right side, or left side of fairway, and the green is some funky shape, the pin in the back upper corner it's easier to just move cursor up to the upper corner than to figure the distance from just front, middle, and back.
  10. I think you should stick with what feels natural to you. I switched from a club with no offset to one with offset to try and get better and the opposite happened, gave it one full season, could'nt get used to the look or feel, had no confidence over the ball, finally switched back could'nt be happier. I play with the X-22 tours now and love them, I bought them at a local pro day, got fitted for grip, shaft, and lie angle by a callaway rep.( best thing i ever did to help golf game). Which ever one you buy I'd get them fitted.
  11. Your right ,it is hard ,but not impossible. Anybody playing can tell if they are doing well or not without looking at the scorecard. The guy just hit his best round,in the past he said he would let his head get in the way on his next round"over analyzing everything", probably thinking about his score before stepping on the first tee. So i say don't look at scorecard, he will know if he is playing well or not , don't have to keep going over to scorecard counting strokes putting unneeded pressure on himself, just play, relax and have fun. When I hit my best round I to could not stop thinking about it, thought about it the night before my next round, the day of my next round, during my next round, well my next round was one of my worst rounds because I was worried about my score, going back to the scorecard counting strokes. I'd have been happy just to have hit somwhere near my best. It's what I would try to do, hard but not impossible.
  12. Nothing is impossible.
  13. I say don't look at scorecard until after your round, just relax ,play and have fun.
  14. I think it will only tell you what club you use for certain distances, for instance, if you keep pulling your 8 iron out when ever the skycaddie says 150 the sky caddie will think you hit your 8 iron 150 yards, when you get to the green and you pull your putter it knows you hit the green,or if you pull more than one club out at the green it knows your chippin. Now i have never used one of the new ones because they are not out yet, but from reading on their web site about them ,this is how i think they will work, could be wrong.
  15. The spring time is their busy season in Myrtle,so the rates are at their highest for the year.I would search the internet for deals ,there are a bunch of sites out there that gives prices and rate courses, you can also book through some of them. I'm also going there this spring, i booked my trip with Longbay Resorts for 550$(4 nights room and 4 rounds golf)in april, same package right now 400$. Good luck.
