I went with the stock stiff Phenom 60. I hit the TP Phenom 65 and threw in my Fubuki 63. The high kick point on the Phenom 65 was no good for me, my Fubuki 63 was pretty good but spin rates were still best with the Phenom 60. I could only hit the G20 with the stock stiff TFC 169D. The RBZ I tried a couple different shafts but it made no difference for me.

I hit almost all the new drivers on a LM on friday, had a few drivers to turn in for credit so I knew I was going to get a new one. The R11s killed all the others in flight, spin, and ball speed. I was getting about 40yds longer run outs with the R11s because of the lower spin. I bought it. Crazy because I HATED the R11. Biggest surprises for me? The RBZ sucked in my hands, and so did the G20. I could not control the RBZ, never got the feel for where the head was. The spin on the G20 was crazy high, run outs of only 250. My SS is around 107 FYI.

I recently made a trip to Scotland with my wife. I played Carnoustie and The Old Course, and since I was alone I wore the ipod for the first time. It was fantastic, it put me in a more magical place believe it or not. The key is having headphones on that allow you to hear everything outside of them while listening to your tunes. A buddy of mine and I belong to Country Clubs a couple miles from each other so we exchange rounds once a month. When we do we bring a battery powered ipod speaker setup and play each other our favorite tunes through the round. We started it in his member guest and found it really kept us loose... so loose that we won the derby at the tournament ($1500!). Some people can't do it, they just don't have the frame of mind. But if you do, it is great to have some tunes on, it teaches you to remain within yourself... relax and not let outside stuff distract from your game.

I can't imagine having to deal with the end of a golf season. Living in SoCal it does not compute! I'm getting stoked because our team play at my club is about to start... Fall and Winter are some of the best times to golf in my opinion. Feel bad for all the golfers in cold climates right now.

Makes me cringe. Someone needs to tell him that he should not be on TV... WHY EVERY 20MIN?!!! AAAAHHHH!

I'm definitely not biased, but all of a sudden I am playing almost everything Taylor Made. It started with my irons... used to hit Mizuno irons that i loved, but when it was time to upgrade I went to a custom fitter and hit about 8 different models and brands with a trackman. The 09 Burners just came to be what fit best for me, and felt best. Next it was my driver, I had been playing Cleveland for awhile... but my buddies were really pushing me towards a Burner, I hit one with the Rombax 75 shaft and loved it. Last was my bag, it was free from my member guest... great bag as well by the way, light but plenty of room and doesn't look dwarfed by a cart.

I played the course about a week ago with the grandstands setup and all... it is a phenomenal course. Conditions were tough... greens have lots of crazy undulations. Can't wait to see the pro's go at it on this course again, such a great format. Plus I have got team match play Sat and Sun this weekend, so it is getting me pumped!

Gotta come to California!

gotta be honest.... I had a nice cameron I thought I liked... went to an odyssey cause putting was not feeling totally comfortable... switched back to the cameron to give it another shot... went back to the odyssey few months ago and will never look back. just sayin... don't believe the hype, believe how you feel.

I agree as well... try as many as possible... keep a few things in mind though. The three most important things IMHO (besides blade or mallet type) is length, "bend" lie angle, and grip. Lie angle being the one that gets looked over most I think, make sure the nose of your putter is flush with the ground to promote truer strokes and contact with the ball.

Man, I really wanted to see a playoff!
