  1. I got a set of these irons back in May. I love them. My old set was hand-me-down TaylorMade irons from the mid-1990's. I don't know how much they've affected my overall score, but I will say I am more confident with them in my hand. I was actually *THIS* close to getting a set of Ping G15's. My golf pro asked if I wanted to demo the new Callaways and I hit them pretty well. I gave them a second testing at a demo day and hit them well again, so I pulled the trigger. They are my first set of new irons and I couldn't be happier with them.
  2. I am curious about this as well. One other lingering question I have when buying new irons...when testing out different models, is there always one or two which stand out from the rest? I've demoed irons on and off the past few months, and nothing has really stood out and "wowed" me.
  3. I agree with the above positive comments. I like the DVD and think it was worth the money spent. Although I do feel that every golf DVD should include HD super slo-motion "swing vision" type video. That stuff is awesome for seeing the details in a golf swing. I would have liked more information on ball-flight, but overall I thought the DVD was well done.
  4. My DVD was ordered almost two weeks ago, and I still don't have it. The FedEx tracking number I got with my order stated that it would be delivered yesterday, yet I get home and there's no package. I again check the tracking information, and it states it was delivered at 2:45pm and left at the front door. I looked all around in case it was bumped off the porch or something, but it was nowhere to be found. I sent an email to the company asking what to do now. I'm guessing they either sent me a bogus tracking number, or that FedEx screwed it up somehow. I've never had that happen before. UGH!
  5. I also like that they have Nantz and Feherty as announcers.
  6. I ordered my DVD on Wednesday evening, and got the shipping email today. They must have stocked up by now. I'm looking forward to this. I like what what I've seen from Foley online and the Golf Channel.
  7. Here in Wisconsin my practice time is limited to about twice a month at the heated range nearby. I have been trying to structure my time there so I'm not just wacking away at balls. I've got several drills that I know and like to do. My general question is should I spend a short amount of time (maybe 20-30 balls) on each drill, and do more drills from my list? Or, maybe pick a only couple of drills and spend more time (ie. hit more balls) on them? Or maybe it doesn't matter that much? Also, does anyone have experience with an impact bag? I'm looking for ways to practice in my basement. I can chip and putt down there, but anything I can do to work on my full swing without actually hitting balls would be nice too. Thanks in advance for any responses.
  8. When I started playing last year, I had the same issue. It seemed like all my clubs would go about the same distance. I still have no idea why that was, but I guess the more I played I "grew out of it" (or whatever you would call it).
  9. I just got an email from Golf Galaxy advertising a pre-order for the new Ping models coming out - the K15's. Are these replacing the G-15 or the Rapture in the Ping line? I'm just curious if this will lead to a price drop on the G-15's. I've had my eye on those for awhile, and a price drop would certainly help.
  10. I'm interested on this too. Details, pricing, and other info like that would be great.
  11. Agreed. I love me some Sara Brown.
  12. I just picked up the sand wedge (56/12) for $30 at Golf Galaxy ($50 retail - $10 gift card - $10 coupon). I get to try it out tomorrow, but for $30 I'm happy.
  13. All this thread is doing is making me want new clubs!
  14. I have one, and like it a lot. For me, it's more of a convenience thing. Don't have to check around for the course markings and make a guess how far out I am. It also has helped me learn how far I hit the various clubs, so a lot of the guessing is now gone. I have the Bushnell Neo, which is a great value, but doesn't have a lot of the features that the other models have.
  15. I enjoy looking as well, but I have yet to pull off a "major" purchase. Biggest one so far is a new bag, which I really didn't need, but is oh so cool. But my question to you guys is HOW DO YOU CHOOSE? All the clubs are so shiny and new, and I'm sure would all really help my game! Like going to the dance with all the pretty girls...which one do you pick?
