  1. I Use a 22* adams a7 4 hybrid. I can hit this about 250 yards. 30 yards further than my 4 iron. I couldn't believe how much longer I hit this than my iron. I'm thinking it might be because I rarely strike the ball completely pure with my old blade 690 MB 4 iron. Anyway, I took my 3 iron out of the bag to make room. I also play a 17* 4 wood. I do have a significant distance gap between my hybrid and 4 iron now but I like to work the hybrid, gripping down and hitting fades to work around it.
  2. I pick up plenty of balls on the course but only if I'm 100% sure someone won't come looking for it. I have people play my balls by mistake or picking them up a lot. I'm long and at times very wide off the tee and I get the old "I couldn't imagine anyone hitting the ball there" excuse a lot, but usually people are honest about making a mistake and are being humble about it, so it doesn't bother me too much
  3. Depends on the range balls, but with your average no brand range balls it's about a 10% difference
  4. HAhaha. A lot of you guys just won't come to terms with the fact that plenty of average Joes can hit a ball longer than you. Guess it makes you feel bad
  5. I actually got a birdie on the 2nd hole I ever played. 140 yds or so par 3. 12 footer. Beginners luck I guess
  6. Lighten up! It was a joke, sheesh! haha
  7. 250 isnt respectable. Unless you're a girl. I can hit the ball 300 yards easily if I put my good swing on. It won't aways be in the fairway or even playig field but at least I'm abe to walk of the course feeing like a man
  8. I won't call it. Simply because it really doesn't matter. It doesn't give the guy an unfair advantage at all. And more imortantly it will create a real unpleasant atmosphere in the group. A few years back in my club championship I ended up winning by 1 shot. However after the round, the guy I beat (not my marker, the 3rd guy in he group) said I should be penalized for picking up my ball from the hazard with my club way back on hole 4. I was obviously not going to play the ball, it was 2 feet under the surface, I just didn't want to lose an expensive ball when I easily could pick it out with my wedge. What an a**!. And to mention it after the round was over, when it was clear that I had won.... He said the reason wasn't that he was 1 stroke back, but rather so that "I could learn". In the end I wasn't penalized and the guy looked like a bitter fool
  9. It's probably the club I use the most other than my driver and putter. I hit my 60 about 110 yards on a full swing. I use it for just about every shot from 20 to 110 yards. As for shorter chip shots I prefer less loft. Most par 4's on my course play Drive-LW for me. I use it for bunker shots as well shorter than 15 yards. I could not imagine taking it out of my bag
