Right the thing is last summer everything was going really nice from tee to green, putting wasnt the best but Ive improved greatly the last 2 rounds I have been on I havent 3 putted once. But with the winter not being the greatest and working around the clock I didnt get a round in all winter, now Im back out again... driving is working, as I mentioned putting is loads better but my short irons have totally gone, I have no idea why, I mean Im not hitting any greens with from 7 - Pitch. Please does anyone have any tips Im going to be adding some vids of my swing when Im on the range tomorrow if you think that could help see whats going wrong! Any help/tips will be much appreciated!

Last year my putting was by far the worst part of my game... I was adding easy 10+ shots to a round due to bad putting. So I changed, like you suggest to the overlap grip (left hand lower - im right handed) and I have improved a great deal, I feel alot more confident with long or shot puts and feel I have more control over my putting swing!

Im in the same situation as you, Im always in the 90s broke it a couple of time best score was an 80, so I know I can do it, but recently Ive lost so much confidence, I changed to graphite irons and played rubbish (and thats being kind to myself ) I went bk to my steels yesterday but my confidence just wasnt there!!! i was going trough greens by 30-50 yrds, I was even slicing my ever so reliable drives! but hey thats all in the fun of the sport yeh?!?! Just keep on goin working likes already been said, around the greens... make sure u cut any 3 putts out and hit greens with you short irons! Gud luk...I need it haha

ive badly pulled my groin playing football (soccer if ur in US...haha) i didnt think i wud be that bad to go for a round.... I thought rong, thats all i'll say!! o well, deep heat + painkillers... i'll be out again next week lol

ive always been an interlock gripper... but recently changed to an overlap, im still getting used to it but I do feel I hit a more solid shot now!

dus look quite cooool, just like bin sed before its not gonna help on grip, one weight of the wii remote! Id like to have a go tho!!

I am pretty consistant with my driver! ive always had a slight fade... but have with buying a r7 have countered that into a nice draw! I usually like to hit at about 90-95% and have a good fairway percentage!!

I well lookin forward to the masters!! Great to see Tiger back... why every1s fussin over his personal life i dont know! The man is quality at playing golf... so lets hope he goes all out and does what he's best at!! Im also quite a fan of rory mcilroy & martin kaymer...so gud luck to them also

i just watched your driver swing, you look really uncomfortable in your set up, you sort of arch your bak and it looks like it stops you swinging properly! relax a bit more!

thanx for all the tips people, i'll be gettin back out on the practice greens and makink sure I try everything untill I feel comfortable and start chipping nice everytime

Rite guys... I feel confident that my drives are consistant trough a round, long irons fine, pitching fine... but..... when I hit one just short of the green my chipping I feel slightly less confident and sometimes thin the ball further away than where I was, dont get me rong its not all the time. does any1 have any tips on keeping my chipping more constant!?!?

id try to keep the 'triangle' in your arm a bit more on the back swing, personally Id say you bend the right arm to early!... only my opinion!

I like this, i'll be on the greens 2mora at some point so may try this... I dont usually have a routine when i'm ther just hit n hope (then get pissed off n snap my putter... but hay)

Ive always interlocked, but with recent problems Ive been thinking about making a switch somewhere in my game (whether its grip or swing) but never had the confidence to change on a round! With reading your post, im gonna get on the range mora and see how it goes!!

Ye as soon as I pull my 3wood... its in my head that It should go further than if i pull an iron, then ends up not even goin as far as my pissin putter!!

I have the same problem, I have a really strong drive, and had a Rflex shaft, so got a stiffer shaft and slowed my swing down, and straitened up. honestly jus get on the range, slow it down an get used to a nicer swing path then speed it back up.

Cheers J_bone... this could be the problem, I have been trying to hit my woods so hard, just to hit them, I'll try slowing it all down!

Im working on hitting my fairway woods.... why? because I have never been able to hit them (I dnt know why?!?!), I have posted a thread about it... I feel im loosing yards on long par 5s! I want to be able to have the confidence to pull my 3wood and put it somewhere around the green! I'll giv myself till the end of summer to get this sorted!

Ryt... Im an average sort of player, I hit in the 80s-90s, I main problem at the moment is my fairway woods (or lack of fairway wood), I cnt/wont hit my 3 wood and have even got rid of my 5. I have my RAM hybrid, and can hit some nice shots with it, but still feel Im missing some yards without using my woods. I have recently bought a Nike t40 3 wood and I want to hit it, I took it to the range and duffed every shot so still dont dare to take it out the bag when Im on the course. I dont know if its phycological that I cnt hit them, but any tips on how to play a wood would be very much appreciated.

always in and around the green! the best advice ive been given since playin golf and i quote "any monkey can smack a ball 200yrds, get on the f***in puttin green, that'll sort you out"

I have recently got a RAM hybrid, my friend GAVE it me, he had your problem, using it as if it were a wood, the first shot I took with the club I planted my second shot (par 5) 5yrds from the pin! like TinCupTampa sed, jus chill out on the swing let the club do all the work!

Im a graphic / website designer so can spend alot of time on the the forum and looking for new clubs oops, ebay will be my downfall!!
