  1. Sorry, I was referring to the Titleist 735 and wondering if you tried different shafts before choosing the DG.
  2. Hi I noticed your handicap was 5-10 , is that 5 righthanded and 10 lefthanded. or do you just choose a handicap between 5 to 10 depending how you feel on a particular day. I think this idea could catch on.
  3. Just tell your boss you have the shanks and cannot play with him most golfers are so scared of the shanks they would rather put hot pins in their eyes than play or talk with you.
  4. Big and ugly but they could work well and be usefull Reminds me of someone. Yes dear, no I wasn't talking about you. martin
  5. Did you try these irons with the rifle flighted shafts in them or did you just try the dg shafts. if you tried the rifle shafts , how did they differ. martin
  6. Take your time , look at your game then decide which wedges you are going to buy. If you go out and buy 3 or 4 wedges straight away you will probably end up not using 2 of them. When playing with your friends try their wedge to get a comparison. spend in haste and repent at leisure
  7. I would go for the six iron The greens where I play are that bad I can put better with my six iron.
  8. To hit the ball a long way you need everything to work together, you need good balance. As soon as you try to hit the ball hard you loose your balance and you don't make solid contact. Make sure you have a good stace and you are pointing in the right direction, feet , hips and shoulders. The ball position in the correct place. Make sure you have a full swing and you wrists are fully cocked at the top of the swing. When you make the down swing keep balanced and don't try to hit the ball so hard that you loose your balance. one final point to remember don't worry about keeping your head still all the great golfers move their hear sideways ( but not up and down, unless your tiger) . you need to move your weight slightly when you swing as this helps you transfer you weight. Good luck martin
  9. The size of the head on a three wood does not necessary equate to the distance of the shot. When thinking about a three wood I would thing about the size of the head in relation to where you are going to use the club. If you are using the club mainly from the fairway you may be better with a smaller headed club , off the tee you may be better with a larger size. The main thing to think about when you purchase any club is the shaft, if you pick the right shaft you will get the extra distance. you need to get some advice in choosing the right shaft otherwise you may be throwing your money away on a club you cannot use. hope this helps and good luck.
