  1. I would have to agree - when I first took lessons - my instructor beat the fundamentals into me. Grip, stance, posture, etc. At first, I honestly though the guy was just giving me enough information to get me started and to bring me back. But looking back, I guess he actually did know a thing or two about what he was talking about. So now that he's beaten me to death with it, it's so ingrained in me, that when I address the ball, it's all natural.
  2. Very interesting - I always wondered if these things worked. I'll have to pick one up now!
  3. I'm not a masher like you studs: 50 deg - 85 55 deg - 70 60 deg - 45
  4. That's a great price!! I think I paid $600 for mine. Mine are 5-PW, 2* upright, 1/2" long, medium golf pride/mizuno grips. Let me know if he's interested. They're just sitting around collecting dust. (Unfortunately)
  5. Pfft - mine's easy! 1 round of golf under par. :)
  6. Good for you man!! I went through the Mizuno fitting and had a very good experience. I'd recommend it to anyone. I also purchased the MX 300's, 5-PW. Unfortunately, I can't hit them though. My handicap is much to high. I just can't hit them pure consistently. I'll be posting them for sale here, (As soon as my account lets me.) If you know anyone - $400. They have just two rounds on them. Good luck with them man! I just know they'll treat you right.
  7. +1 I had this problem a while back. Instead of swinging the club with my shoulders and arms, and letting my hands just go along for the ride, I got my hands involved and this would cause me to hit it thin. I concentraded relaxing my grip, and letting my shoulders and arms swing the club. That, and as trivial as it sounds - look at the front of the ball, not the middle during my downswing. This promotes hitting the ball before the turf.
  8. I've noticed that if I am able to bring the club from the inside - keeping my hands ahead of the ball is a good thing. Ernie Els does this and it's a sweet swing! But, this is my experience.
  9. I used to have this problem until I took a short game lesson. The instructor taught me to pick my line, practice my stroke, (For speed.) and then hit the ball. Only don't lift my head to look at where the ball is going until after a two count. (one-one-thousand, two-one-thousand) This helped me not to worry where the ball was going, but to fix myself on the stroke itself.

    Smoking!

Jack? I didn't know he was a smoker. Huh - learn something new every day.
  11. Even if they switch sponsors, can't they play whatever they want, regardless of who they are sponsored by? (Or am I making this up?)
  12. I would have to say The Big Easy. Just such nice tempo!
  13. LOL - I can relate to this!
  14. Definitely the gutsiest shot i have ever seen. I'm not a fan boy - but I'm glad Phi won.
  15. Huh - thanks for clearing that up. I too wondered what that mean.
