Honest to God there is no right or wrong way to choose a flat stick, but something I have found to be true sort of echoes what blackxpress was saying. Find one that makes you feel confident when standing over it, one that looks good to you & one that you somehow keep looking back to in the store. Then buy it KNOWING it was the right purchase, if it cost 200$ or 20$. I didnt know what putter I wanted ( actually secretly thought it was going to be a Scotty ) but finally couldnt walk away from the #7 White Hot XG Odyssey. Did & still feels right for me. Hope you find one!

I too think you should look out for the Odyssey White Ice #9, very similar in looks to the photo you posted, with proven Tour quality.

If you want to hit good shots you got to keep the grooves clean if nothing else. I try & carry a soft brush & a damp cloth to wipe the heads after each shot & every couple of rounds clean them properly along with cleaning my shoes. Clean kit makes you feel good & play good.

why use a PRO V1??? Because make superb golf balls, if not THE best golf balls on the planet. I would much rather change a ball every round for the benefits of feel/spin than play any other brand (& I have tried most of them) They aint the #1 ball in golf for nothing, if the better players thought a Srixon/Callaway/Nike whatever was better they would change...& they dont!

I love my SQ 5900, I put the Aldila stiff shaft in it even tho I always used R. For several rounds any bad shot went WAY right but I always need some time to get used to a new big dog no matter how well I hit it before purchase. Now I dont think I could use a R flex in a driver at all. Sounds like you got a great deal there, I got mine custommade from onlinegolf btw!

OK really very impressed with the around the green stuff, really helping ,I|'m now getting more than I ever thought possible out of my Vokey wedges but still undecided about the putting. Im using the YES squared triangle putting aid to try Phil's putting technique out, cant really day if the forward press is helping or not, will need several proper rounds out on the course to see. I think on straight putts a slight forward press DOES help, not totally swayed on 30/40 lag putts yet...

I use an Aldila VS Proto 65 shaft stiff flex & its awesome! I also want to put Aldila's into the woods I got instead of the stock standard ones, maybe next month

Aha ha! The joys of a multiregional DVD player strike again!! I have watched the first disc & very impressed with it. Happy I 95% use that hinge/hold thing already...not too sure about his putting ideas tho about apex at impact...hmmm, or the eyes behind & inside, or the forward press lol The stopping it softly section is utterly superb i really cant wait to try that out later today!!

Like I have said before & no doubt will say again.... GET FITTED!! That way you will actually get a club with the lie/angle/loft/shaft for YOUR swing. Everyones points here are valid enough but honestly a good PGA pro will do more for you than anybody else. Good luck :)

I am getting the DVD's tomorrow & having read the comments on here I cant wait to view them. I have always loved the short game esp. from 50 yards & in & my wedges & putter have always been my favourite clubs so any advice from Lefty will be awesome I hope!!
