  1. this wwas the first thing that jumped out to me. You appear to be swinging 100% speed right from the top, instead of building up speed to impact.
  2. i play stock 47 degree pw, 52, 56, 60. I also have a 64 degree for a few local courses. When I use the 64, I remove the 3 wood from my bag. getting to the green isnt much of a problem, i like to have a lot of options once I'm there. I do have a small green in my backyard, that I practice all of my wedges with extensively.
  3. Just putting out a feeler for my set of bridgestone j33 forged cb irons. 3 - pw. +1" ever so slightly upright. mid size grips - except the 3 iron has a standard grip. DGS300 shafts - some have the stickers, most have the sticker residue. Faces arent damaged, its picture compression, and a few of them are dirty from hitting off an old range mat yesterday. Reason for selling is I'm looking to get a slightly more forgiving set of forged irons (adams cb3) since I cant practice 4 days a week anymore. Can get pictures tomorrow for anyone interested. $150 shipped.
  4. not sure about any of the others, but my local wal mart has the tp5 on sale for $27 and the tp3 for $21.
  5. I think it would be decent to watch an alternate shot format. Pga player teams with a lpga player and they compete against another man/woman pro team. Alternate shot.
  6. this is actually a pretty good comparison as to how my club looks, mine maybe just the smallest big more outside than this.
  7. i've been looking at my swing quite a bit on video lately. My ball flight has been really good lately, so I'm hesitant to change, but if its for my benefit, i'm willing. From the behind view, I find that when the club is parallel to the ground, the club head is slightly outside of the grip and shaft. Some of it is the weight of the clubhead slightly flexing the shaft, but it still appears to be 1 - 2" outside of the grip. Is this a concern? Should it be perfectly in line when you practice a hands in, club out take away?
  8. im not a pro by any means, but it looks like your weight at address is on your heals and your a little too far from the ball, causing you to lunge at the ball on the downswing, and your weight stays back instead of shifting to your front leg.
  9. lets see if these will load... behind - full swing 3/4 swing knockdown shot
  10. Hey guys. Havent watched my swing on video in over a year. I have lyme disease, so I found that my flexibility has been greatly reduced. Been on antibiotics 2 weeks now, and the constant aches and pains are starting to lessen. Biggest thing I see is that my left knee flexes in a little too much, but I think it may be the extremely baggy jeans. Left wrist may be slightly bowed, but not sure if thats a huge deal or not. Thoughts, opinions?
  11. meanwhile, in WV, it was 65, and cost me a whopping $5.15 to walk 18 on an extremely nice course since its winter rates.
  12. Greetings and happy new year. I've taken a month off from golf (beer and wine sales spike tremendously during the holidays). My big swing fault currently is getting sloppy at the end of my backswing, and my arms continuing to swing after my shoulders stop turning. Its not a huge amount of a swing continuance, and likely also includes a little left elbow folding, but its definitly enough to make me rely on timing, more than just turning, which obviously is never a good thing to rely on when you dont play everyday. Im currently hitting only 3/4 shots until I groove the feel again, but would like some tips/drills to help me along. If I think about it, and remember to keep the club head low, and the right arm straight as long as it feels natural, (i swing right handed), it tends to keep me from getting lazy and sloppy. However, this is a lot to remember in the heat of the moment, and the fault tends to rear its ugly head at the worst moment. After I make the mistake, I know exactly why, and I'm typically good for another 4 - 6 holes, then I tend to get complacent again. I'd like to avoid this in the first place, obviously. Aside from continuing to work on it, Any suggestions or drills?
  13. picked up my bridgestone j33 cb's for $125 from a friend who needed money. Best thing ive done for my game.
  14. sorry guys, i should have clarified, this is strictly a driver problem. I got my bridgestones last spring, just never updated my signature.
  15. I've made a few swing changes over the past year to make my swing more up and down, instead of too shallow and around the body. I can immediately tell when I get lazy and drop my right arm to the inside at the last third of my backswing, resulting in an over the top hook. I've nearly eliminated that problem (mostly by repetition and being aware that taking the club back inside never results in good things for me). My "problem" now is that I nearly always hit a slight push to the right - between 5 and 10 yards right. I set up on the left side of the tee boxes. I havent yet encountered a scenario in which its hurt me. About 50% of the time it draws back a few yards, but the rest of the time its dead straight, and a max of 10 yards off to the right. Is this something to worry about, or is this just "my natural ball flight" and just continue to play the left side of the tee boxes on narrow holes?
  16. hey guys, biggest reason is that we will play year round unless there is snow. Ive played in 95 degree weather with humidity so high it feels like 115, and as cold as 25 degrees. It seems like I lose 10 - 15 yards in the winter (id assume its because the cold air is denser), and the ball compresses less. A tour ball with uerethane cover isnt really needed in the winter months, because of how soft, wet, and slow the greens are. Ive narrowed it down between the ad333 where i can get a 50 count bucket for $30, or the wilson zip where I can get a 24 pack for $19. Anyone played both balls? any opinions?
  17. Im mostly looking at just what I can get locally. I typically play the srixon z star x. driving swing speed is 114 - 116. Anyone care to compare the wilson 50 elite, srixon ad333, top flite d2 feel and noodle easy distance?
  18. hows your shoulder tilt in your swing? When I get a nasty snap hook, its because either a) my swing is too flat, and my shoulders are fairly flat at the top of my swing, or b) im taking the club way inside on the backswing.
  19. its hard to slow it down enough, but it looks like you may be taking the club back a little inside, then coming over the top just the smallest amount on the downswing. another thing i check when i have days when i have a tiny slice or hook, is check my alignment. Since i play with my grips turned backwards (no logo or writing), its usually me starting my swing with the face very slightly open or closed.
  20. I actually brought my dymo into the store to compare to the others, and thats the club I was using as my base numbers. As for ball flight, it looks like a 9 iron shot that goes way further Ive more than once left a divot in a soft fairway from my driver shots. It is definitly loud as all hell though. Ive had people halfway across the course look in my direction after teeing off. It definitly leaves the ears ringing with any significant range time.
  21. Hey guys, havent posted in a while. been busy. Ive dropped my handicap 5 strokes in the past year (down to around a 6 playing the tips). My question is at which swing speed do I need to start looking into an X flex vs a stiff flex? Right now my swing speed (as per launch moniter at the local sporting goods store) is between 114 and 116. My driver goes straight, sometimes has 15 yard left or right deviation, but still straight. Ball flight is SKY high, i get very little roll. Carry is average around 260. Total distance is around 275. My launch angle was 12 - 13 degrees, with an average of 3100 rpm of spin. I plan on going to an actual golf shop to get fitted in the spring, but would like to go in with a bit of knowledge, versus going in blind.
  22. Ive actually got a cobra TWS 18 degree i bought cheap and have only hit a few times. I'll go throw a steel shaft in it and see if its any better. thanks!
  23. i may be in the minority here, but for the life of me, i cannot keep from hooking a hybrid. I hit every other club in my bag with a very slight draw, but the 5 or 6 brands of hybrids ive used have have been hook magnets for me. I'll gladly use my 3 iron anyday!
  24. sorry, the set sold locally about 2 hours ago. Dicks sporting goods has the baffler hybrids for $59.97 + 25% off. may want to check there, i think the one i got for my new set came out to $43
  25. Offers? $200 for everything?
