  1. The fittings say 1/4 to 1/2 inch
  2. I am getting a lesson vibe from everyone. So let me ask this question after getting fitted I did learn one thing that the grips are to small should I have my clubs lengthened with new grips or does that matter much now? The problem with the irons that I have now is that they almost hurt to hit the ball.
  3. I have been fitted at 2 different place on different days and have swung alot with the pad because they have a hard time believing that it keeps coming back that way. I can say for sure that unfortunatley my swing is consistantly flat. I am picking golf back up from a 5 year break. When I was playing I was a 85 to 90 player.
  4. I have been fitted for clubs and I have a very flat swing I guess. I have posted these results once I am 6'1" with a wrist to floor of 38" So I should need a 3.75* upright but off the pad it shows that I need a 2.5* flat . So my question is should I make the club come to me and order the set or work on my swing and try to get it right. It also says I need .25" longer even though a .5" felt better when I swung it and now I am playing off the shelf clubs I do think the length would help for sure it feels like I am bending over the ball more than I should. So do I get new clubs and use the technology out there to help me or work on my swing.
  5. I have the Wilson Di7's with the fat shaft I HATE these clubs. I hit them very fat it might be the head and not the shaft but still. I also have a very odd swing obviously since I am 6'1" and need a -2 deg loft!
  6. I know but he had me swing the club and that was what the tape came back as!?!? What is going on here
  7. I have a line on some G10's used for $350. So I went to the golf store to talk to a guy I deal with there and he said while you are here let's fit you. He used the tape on the Ping's and the board and it came back that I am acceptable on the Orange dot but he thought the Brown would be better. They don't have a Brown dot to swing. Here is the problem with that I am 6'1" with a wrist to floor of 38.5. So what the hell is that all about. Is there anybody else out there that got fitted and it just didn't make sense?
  8. I know the Callaway's are on there way out but whenever I go to the store I go right to them and pick them up and they feel so good in my hand. I am a little partial to the Cobra name but......... I haven't swung either yet. Just curious if anyone has swung both and if they have an opinion.
  9. You have to let me know I am really intersted in those. Did you get the hybrid? steel shaft? I have to know I am so jelous.
  10. I had the same issue and am still working it out. But some advice I got is roll your hands over a little more. Make it where you can see 2 to 3 knuckles on your left hand. Give it a shot. It has helped me alot.
  11. I spent some time on there site. The P2 must be gone now. They look great though and have some real nice clubs. I went there looking for irons but bought a wedge for starters. Thanks
  12. I use top flite. They have always done me right. I get some free $35 a dozen titleist balls and I can't hit those as far as the cheapy $10 a dozen top flite. Just my $0.02
  13. Can't answer the query just wanted to say I love the look of the S2 max irons.
  14. Have the Wison Staff Di7 and want to get rid of them. This is the first season with them and have hit around 15 buckets and played 4 rounds with them and can't stand them. I don't like the feel through the shaft on impact feels very clunky and with these clubs I am hitting the ball either to high or taking a acre with me. Don't know about the Ci7' though.
  15. Walk unless drinking and then cart. The cooler is heavy
  16. I agree about paying a little more for the cozy feeling of being recognized but they have to be somewhat close to the price. I don't expect them to match but get as close as possible.
  17. Yeah the whole lesson thing doesn't even make sense to me. I play for fun I am not going to make the open and know it. I have seen the Adams as well and have considered those to. I have a cobra driver and man do I LOVE it so that is why those are probably going to be the short list. I know the bag doesn't have to mach but if one works so well why stray.
  18. I picked up a set of steel wilson staff di-7's and man I can't hit those at all. I had a old set of graphite shaft bag in box irons that I was using and those where better for me. My query is is it the shaft that I have to get use to or what. I am looking and seriously considering a set of cobra s2 max or maybe a set of transition-s. Any help? I know Callaway has a set similiar to the transition-s so I just don't know. Any other suggestions would be great.
  19. Heck ya man! I got away from golf for a few years (didn't have the time to dedicate to it but I am back now) and I still remember the first sub 90 round it was magical and something you just have to go back to sometimes. It was hard after that because once I did it I had to get it out if my mind that I won't be down there every round.
  20. Why not demo both and see what happens. The local golf store that visit will tape them up and let you hit the driving range. That is how I found the right driver for me. But I ain't no pro either so a few hits can make my decision.
