    Cart girls?

Eagle Falls in Indio, CA has two gorgeous cart girls with great bodies and cute accents. If you're ever in the desert I highly recommend that course! Great track as well and good prices. Every hole seems so much different and carved right through parts of Indian territory.
  2. granted its subject to change quickly due to me just starting my handicap and just starting to play seriously in March.
  3. Actually, two 9 hole rounds combined equal 77. Same course, two weeks apart. I don't have an official handicap yet but when the revision date comes next week I will and it will be 5.7. My lowest full 18 is 82
  4. I'm sorry, but where the hell did this come from? Am I even a part of this thread? WTF?
  5. I believe the cutoff was somewhere around 136-137.
  6. This and he's freakish.
  7. Why bash his style? He's being unique and there's nothing wrong with that. Puma doesn't pay him to dress in bright orange outfits, he dresses like that because that's his style. They pay him to wear the puma hat just like all the others on tour. I'm sure it wasn't PUMA's idea to be the first on tour to rock the flatbill hats, it was Rickie's. Like I said, he's unique. Plus hes a socal dude...what do you expect? On an unrelated note, has anyone ever heard that your swing tempo has a lot to do with your tempermant, personality and lifestyle? Rickie has the fastest tempo on tour and I bet it's because of all that fast paced moto.
  8. Simply fantastic I would be estatic if I ever achieved the level of success you did, especially that quick. I played from ages 14-18 with my father, maybe 4-5 rounds a YEAR. No range work, no putting. Roughly ~20 rounds in that period and I always shot in the mid to high 100s, only breaking 100 for a 97 or 98 a few times. Started playing more seriously in March 2010 where I shot mid 100s twice, then some mid-low 90s in late March and an 86 on April 1st (this is no april fools joke, the golf ball doesn't joke around). I've shot mid 80s consistently and just recently in the end of May broke 40 (38) on 9 holes. My lowest full round to date is an 82. I've had one half hour lesson where the pro worked on my posture, leg stillness for coil strength, and balance. Everything else has been self taught through this forum, books and various videos. I started my handicap in the middle of May and it's at a 5.7. I've played 18 rounds since March and been to the range and practice facilites an equal amount of times. Playing rounds is just as important as practice work on the range/green. I absolutely love this game. My mental strength and emotional control both on and off the course is increasing with every round and that's one of the things that keeps me going. Not only is playing golf fun, it's very good at increasing one's ability to deal with adversity. What's that secret by the way? Making it so your 2 putt is no more than 3 feet? Yes, that is the secret me thinks...
  9. best post ive seen in a while
  10. This thread is more about the takeaway than the flying wedge. My post was at least. Notice in both videos posted the hands initiate the take away and the club face is still on the ground. This it the TIP that the guy in the original video is talking about. Every time I try this I have the ugliest swing path due to no control over the club. Maybe I'm gripping too light now? hahaha I know this takeaway lag makes a difference I just can't seem to add it into my game.

    In the ZONE

Awesome man! Golf is so fun when you are playing the game the way it is suppose to be played. Having birdie putts from any length is a great feeling because even if you miss you know par is a pretty damn good score as well. I shot my personal 9 hole low 38 today. (Par 35, 3350y, 131/35.0) I'm still feeling the thrill of almost shooting scratch on 9 holes. Other than a 7i that hit the flag stick to 2' for a tap in birdie on the 1st hole, it was routine up and downs and a couple of GIR and 4 bogeys. 14 putts as well. :)
  12. Not if you are trying to work the ball right/left. An open/closed face relative to the swing path is basically required to work the ball. If you are trying to hit a straight shot, then yes the clubface should be square to the swing path. example: when im hitting a draw i drop my back foot back slightly, close the face relative to the swing path by taking a stronger grip, but square it to the starting target by aiming right of the finishing target. So when I swing through I still hit a straight shot because the clubface is square to where I am aimed, yet not square to the clubpath so it creates some right to left spin. as with everything in golf, try to keep it simple. keep the clubface square to the path on every shot you aren't trying to work.
  13. Nice we do the same thing with the priming of the club. I don't take practice swings while approached to my ball unless it is a feel shot. Anything from 100y in is probably considered a feel shot.
  14. Standing 3 paces behind the ball I assess my shot. I figure distance to where I want to land the ball on the fly taking into consideration the release of the ball depending on the trajectory of the club I'm using. I look at my lie and see how that will dictate pushes and pulls (from being below/above feet). Factor in the wind and that's basically it. I pick a spot on the ground that matches up well to my target. Take a few semi slow motion swings. I then proceed to grip with the club directly in front of my face while staring down the target. A quick loosening of the grip moves the club downward now pointing directly at my target parallel to the ground. Then I prime the club by moving the shaft to 45 degrees in between vertical and horizontal and back down down to horizontal a couple times. This gets my body more into it and helps get me into "the zone" where it's no thoughts, just pure swing. I square my club face to the spot on the ground that is parallel to my target line, then square myself to the club face. Waggle a few times (how many really depends on how smooth the waggle feels) while glancing through the spot on the ground, the target, and the ball. These quick glances help my subconscious mind to deliver the most accurate swing path in accordance to the ball to spot to target line. After a confident waggle, I swing. I slightly react to the feel of the club face through impact but is probably not noticeable to others unless I really miss hit it. I then watch the shot. I then try to not react for no more than 10 seconds after the shot lands. I feel and maybe even express the emotions and then get "out of the zone" and back into a more relaxed state as quick as possible. Doing this makes it easier to get back into the zone once I approach the next shot. That's the end of my full shot routine. For those who don't have a post-shot routine you should really take the time to implement it. It's actually very important.
  15. What's the stimp on the Big Moss greens? It rains so much here that getting one is inevitable
  16. if you pause at 0:06 you can see at impact his clubshaft is barely leaning forward and the angle of attack isn't that steep. your right maybe a little bit
  17. is he right do pros or anyone in general who hits a far distance (say like 6i 200 yards) do this? I know I hold the club too tight based off the handful of blisters i have on my fingers but I feel like this cannot be right. Why would you want to start the take away by moving the club shaft and your hands backward but not the club face so the shaft is leaning away from the target?
  18. Apart from building your own (which I may do), what is the cheapest indoor putting green out there that uses actual cups? Big moss admiral?
  19. mickelson doesn't play a full blade. it's like an X muscle back/blade. i forget what they are called. but look at the titleist AP2 irons, they are half muscle back half blade. there are plenty of combinations and i really don't understand the difference between all of them. I've never hit blades just muscle backs and cavity
  20. I think you guys are forgetting about muscle backs. Those are in between cavity and blades and I'm willing to bet those who do not play blades on the tour play muscle backs, with only a small few playing cavity backs.
  21. I'm not really sure why it was hurting but today I haven't been to the range for a few days and I went and hit 170 balls with no pain at all. Straight, baby push draws, and some monster ott hook pulls when i tried to swing too hard pushing my distance. 7i 160 with range balls is feeling good. Notable shots were when I actually held my wrist cock perfectly and hit down on the ball just right. Those shots had an extra 10-15 feet of trajectory. So pretty.
  22. So worth it if you play more than once a week. I'm sure that includes free range as well. The range is expensive too. Some people go through over 50 dollars a week in range balls alone.
  23. The bottom of the pinky finger about a half a cm above where the palm begins
  24. If I make my left hand more neutral I can wrap the pinky farther underneath my index to the point where my pinky is not touching the grip at all. This has eliminated the pain completely. I think it was really more of a grip issue. The problem was the pinky joint was slowing getting bruised from all the unhinging through impact. I just tried this new grip and now the grip isn't touching my pinky joint it's touching the very top of the palm right below the pinky. This is so much more comfortable and maybe I was just playing with too strong a grip all along where I could see 3 knuckles which made it impossible for me to get my right hand on top of the club in a symmetrical fashion without the grip touching the bottom of my pinky. Anyways, this feels better I just need to try it at the range.
  25. wowwww that would seem very inconsistent to me. but whatever works. i just hope it toughens up and i can play through it eventually without pain.
