Haha I stole the idea from the guys that paint their airsoft and paintball guns digital. I should try to get them to do Boo's woods in digital though. That would be sweet!

Thanks guys, I have a g15 3 wood so I am probably going to do that white first. Maybe this weekend I will do it. I will post up pics when I do.

I used a lacquer paint and it holds up really well minus the trip back from florida with 3 big suitcases on it. As far as prep I used a mouse hand sander to take the factory paint off and then used 2000 grit over it all to make sure it was nice and smooth. Then I used a primer and started in with my first color. I put a clear lacquer over it all but because there are so many layers of paint I think it made the finish not as perfect as I would like. But the first coat was perfect so when I do it in white I think its going to come out a million times better and hold up better if ever beaten up on.

Its not bad for me, I was going to get a small skull and crossbone sticker to put where the arrows were but ran out of time. I put lines on all my golf balls though so I line up my tee shots and putts with that line so thats what I focus my eyes on.

thanks for all the comments guys. Like I said I am eventually going to redo it white. I just thought it would be cool to do something different. And surprisingly its not distracting at all(to me atleast) when hitting it.

I made the stencils by taping wax paper to a clip board, I then took 3in painters tape over he wax paper. Next I printed off digital camo onto paper with 1/4 inch squares and taped that over the tape and wax paper. Then used a razor to cut the paper out making sure I cut the tape and wax paper. Then you peel the wax paper off and place the sticker(tape) where you want it. To paint it I sanded the driver down and taped it off. Then sprayed a primer on it. Then you use the lightest of the three colors first. Once that dries you place some stencils where you want them, making sure they are all going the same way. I squared mine off the face. Then you spray the second lightest color and let that dry. Place some more stencils on and spray the last color. Then you take off all the stencils you put on and you can either use a female stencil to place some more of the dark color places(I could put some out towards the toe in the pic where the light color is big) Once you are finished you use a clear coat to protect the finish and you are done. If I put a sticker on by the face as an alignment arrow I would have put that on before coating it. I used a lacquer paint and it holds up great. It only got damaged due to the weight on top of it and the bumping around while driving 13+ hours home from Florida.

thanks guys, it got screwed up when I was down in Florida because my dad threw our bags on my golf bag so I might end up redoing it here soon in white. Id like to get a small skull and cross bone sticker to put in the middle where the alignment arrows usually are. I ran out of time to do it on this one because I had to leave for Florida but I will post pics of when I paint it white.

Cannot stop pulling/hooking with my driver!

I guess its time to change your name on here now! haha -
Thanks for the response. The golf pro that fit me told me the same about my hips. Its something that I try to work on but I have had 3 left knee surgeries. Two acls and one meniscus tear, so its hard for my to get my weight shifted. I am getting back into shape and working out my knee though so hopefully it will get better with time.

My guess would be grip pressure. I used to get blisters when I was younger when I didnt play much, but I also would swing WAY to hard which caused me to over grip the club and cause blisters.
-
Oh I agree completely. I should have said friends swings. You definitely have to be able to practice what you preach. It's just something that I think I would enjoy a lot more than being a welder/pipe fitter. I'm 24 and its destroying my body.

http://www.golfacademy.edu/ Just to give you an idea... Id love to be a teaching pro. I really enjoy the challenge of trying to spot flaws in ones swing from a few swings then coming up with the right drill or thought to fix it!
-
O ok makes sense. Any input on my swing from anyone??
-
Thanks for fixing my videos...I still do not know what I did wrong though.
-
Hey guys can you check my swing out for me? Its only my driver, kind of a spur of the moment thing to take vids after my first full round of the season. Shot an 87 with 34 putts, Sucks because I should have only had about 28 or 29 putts but o well. I will post up some 6 iron swings sometime this week.

If I was playing for the kind of money the pros are I wouldnt want noise either. But I dont mind if I hear music on the course. I hear people out in the pools jamming and splashing all the time and I just zone them out. You can hear trains and planes and stuff too. I dont see it any different than people around you talking and such on the range. Just gotta be able to zone everything else out and focus on your shot.

What is the most important part of a golf course?
jhut03 replied to Quinn07's topic in Golf Courses and Architecture
I hate uneven tee boxes more than anything. I used to like being able to tee the ball up above my feet to help with my slice but now that I am hitting the ball better I can never seem to find a level spot on the side of the tee box I want to tee from. hu The other isnt just the green condition from the managements side but the players as well. If I have to fix a bunch of unfixed divots hole after hole I start to get annoyed. bumps are one thing but huge untouched divots is unacceptable..... This usually isnt super bad at my club but some of the cheaper courses around here are horrible. -
I play because it is by far the most difficult sport I have ever picked up. I played football, basketball, baseball, wrestled, and ran track and always excelled in those sports. Im naturally athletic and can pick up any sport really easy. I started playing volleyball about a year ago and now am playing on some very competitive teams. I have always just been able to start playing and pick it up really quick, but for some reason I struggle with golf, its such a challenge and I am really starting to get into the competitive side of the game with club tourneys and such.

Yes that setup needs a ton of work but when saying he should stand up straighter and closer to the ball should help with his setup....

Hey man, I use the winn excel, the medium. I like them because they are super soft but not too thick. They really help absorb the shock from miss hits, I play mp68s so miss hits are very noticable but these grips help take the bite off!

Last (Golf) Thing You Bought?
jhut03 replied to JYB's topic in Balls, Carts/Bags, Apparel, Gear, Etc.
Last trip I made I got two new polos and a pair of black and tan shorts. Next trip will be to test out the new nike combo set and hopefully buy them. I gotta sell my mp68s first tho! -
I dont play with one or see a reason in doing so. I do have a buddy that only uses it around the green though. He doesnt have a handicap but usually shoots in the 110s+ with counting no penalties and being VERY generous with gimmies. I keep telling him to use his hybrid and use a putting stroke with it so he can put a useful wedge in his bag but he refuses.

Have fun buddy, I went to the solheim cup when it was in Indianapolis then the senior event this year here. The coolest thing I think is watching everyone hit their drives and how effortless their swings are. Even the old guys can really put the ball out there and they look like they are barely swinging!!! It really reinforces the fact that solid contact and a smooth swing is the key to being consistent and long.

Welcome to the boards, I love this site and the wealth of knowledge and good people here. Im jealous of where you are from! I need to move farther south or invest in a quality simulator so I dont have to pretty much start from scratch every spring.
