Double_J makes an excellent point, the act of smoking itself is very addicting, beyond just the nicotine. The multiple times I have quit dipping, I needed to use toothpicks or something to take place of the act of putting a dip in. The nicotine, from what I remember being told, works out of your system rather quickly and whats left is the mental addiction.

Speaking just for the driver, I just played 18 with a Ping K15 and LOVED IT. It is very forgiving, which for a guy as bad as I am right now, is a big plus. The irons I use are TM Burner HT, which seem to work great for me, again, pretty forgiving.

100mph tape. It will stay there forever, and when you want to take it off, just use some goo-gone.

This is pretty much my approach. I just consider all the bad spots I get myself into good practice.

I wish I could actually tan enough to show a difference between my white feet and the rest of me. I thought I got a tan once, while I was in Iraq. I was feeling pretty good for a few months, then I got to take a real shower, as opposed to baby wipes, and my tan washed off. It was demoralizing.

Well hello fellow Hoodbridger. I played up in Potomac on Saturday, tee time was 1127, so it was 103 from the start. It was rough to say the least. But, having spent a couple years in the middle east, it would have to be pretty hot for me to consider playing out of the question. I just avoid any beet on the course, and bring a ton of gatorade with me.

I'm with bwdial, its always worse for me on the back 9. Especially in the heat lately as my ability to stay hydrated goes downhill 10 or 11 holes into the round.

Just finished 18 in 103 degree heat. At least the course was kind enough to have people driving around with free Popsicles and wet towels.

I use my lucky 1905 Indian Head Penny I got in change a while back from a shopette.

For some reason my excuses always start with "If that beer cart girl hadn't showed up so many time I........"

Mine was scoring related, and by that I mean actually keeping an accurate/correct score every round. It enlightened me to which part of my game I needed to focus on if I was going to take golf a bit more seriously. Just some minor statistical analysis was very enlightening.

Here in VA lately I have been playing late in the day. I also refrain from any beer when its this hot.
