  1. If you look in streams that're close to a hole, then you'll probably find several.
  2. Jack - Legend / Hall of Famer Tiger - A Good Golfer I agree with h4ck; if Tiger manages to pull off a few big wins, perhaps the British Open or The Masters; then he will definitely be able to amount to the skill that Jack has/had. Also, I believe that some personal things that happened with Tiger (we all know) also could harm peoples perceptions on him.
  3. Also, if you're playing in the backyard; it helps with tearing it up too.
  4. Well, I live in Columbus, Ohio -- approximately 90 minutes from Cleveland; and on his decision day, we were watching the news and it was pretty intense and there was quite a bit of tension there too. They had police in riot gear, and people were burning LeBron jerseys and such. Honestly, he probably wanted to win a Championship; that's probably all. And I think him and Wade were off the court friends too. Keep in mind, that they played on the USA team together too.
  5. Yeah, I have done that a few times. It kind of sucks, especially when it's a decent fairway shot too.
  6. That's awesome. What kind of balls do you play with?
  7. I'm not a big fan of those shots by trees that only lefty's can hit! Since I am a righty, it's no fun hitting away from one.
  8. Hello, My name is Brendon. I'm from Columbus, Ohio and I am a pretty new member here on the website. I just began golfing probably a month ago, and I have a set of clubs already. I have a set of Northwestern woods, irons, and putter; and a PureSpin L wedge I believe. I use a different driver that the brand of the rest of my clubs. I know I don't have the greatest clubs, but they are just some starter ones. They're not bad though.
  9. I don't really "ball hunt" but if I find a ball that someone lost or what have you; then I'd use it. Someone I knew, worked at a golf course and got fired for "ball hunting" and taking those balls and using them for personal use though.
  10. Most of the time when I loose a ball, it would be in the trees, woods, etc.
  11. There's a HUGE difference from hitting off a mat, versus hitting off the grass. Hitting of the grass, gives you more of a realistic feeling to hitting the golf ball, but the mat will definitely be better to save your clubs.
  12. When we go golfing I don't really like to cheat. I'd prefer to see my Bogey's - Triple Bogey's; rather than seeing cheated scores. I am told it's okay to kick it away from the tree if it lands right next to it. But honestly, what do you learn from that? Nothing.
  13. When I would golf, I would definitely slice the ball quite a bit; but I am starting to get that under control somewhat. Thanks to some tips one of the golf coaches mentioned to me. Furthermore, my yardages were lacking too. The more I play now, the better that I notice I am getting. But now, I hit the ball mainly straight and the golf simulator at "Golf Galaxy" measured about 165+ yards. I'm only 14 though; and I began golfing about a month ago or so.
  14. Actually, I work at the golf course! :D I just got hired as a volunteer so I can play free golf but I haven't started yet. Keep in mind that I'm only 14 though too.
  15. I am pretty sure I'd do just as fine with only 10 clubs in my bag. I have 14 in there, but I don't use them all. I use my driver, putter, P wedge, and a my irons and wedge get some use though.
