91 at TPC Deere Run. Left a lot of shots on the course, but what a gem of a course it is.

"May 31, a South Side resident and his wife were robbed on Jackson Park Golf Course by two teens with a gun." http://www.hydepark.org/hpkcc/whistl...eriesspike.htm I'm sure that was the last thing this couple was worried about as well. Edit: And another... "Two robbery suspects arrested after gunshot fired at golf course" "One shot was fired on the 16th hole at Newman Golf Course on Wednesday afternoon, but it was no hole-in-one. Two 19-year-olds attempted to rob a man on the fairway of the par-5 hole about 1:15 p.m., police said." http://www.pjstar.com/homepage/x2085...ired-at-golfer And another... "Golf course robbery suspect caught at Kit Carson Park." "Police arrested a man Wednesday suspected of robbing a golf pro shop at gunpoint and fleeing with $1,000 of the store's money." http://www.nctimes.com/news/local/es...e2b86c1de.html Edit again: I just realized these occurred in states that do not allow conceal carry (Ill & CA). So that should speak volumes about how criminals will carry guns regardless of laws, and unarmed citizens are nothing more than targets to them.

I have a client (a very honest guy) that got a reduced price at a local course a last season... he said it was pretty simple. I will try this for next season in November.

I sure wouldn't mind a threesome with Seema and Maiya. ...take that as you may. ;)

I live in Wisconsin where we don't have the right to conceal carry. I would if I could, but I can't so I won't. I played a course on Father's Day weekend down in the South side of Chicago where I would've felt a little more comfortable packing heat... Jackson Park GC. Very interesting indeed.

Oh you have much to learn young padawan

I like Go-Far balls... when I hit them clean and they go far that makes me happy. Also, if I visualize a shot shape and hit it like I want I am super happy - this can actually bring me back into good play if I'm having an off day.

Also a pet peeve as stated in the thread bearing that name... when a player 'takes' his 3-5 foot putt, or hits these shorter putts in such a way that it shows that he is not serious about the putt, where even if he misses said putt the stroke for the extra putt that it would take to actually put the ball in the hole never sees the scorecard. Examples (again, even if the player misses these shots, the extra stroke it would take to actually get the ball down the hole won't see the card): The Flamingo - one footed off balance shot. The Back Scoop - overshoot the hole, no problem, just walk up to the hole and scoop it back in from 3 feet. The Backwards Putter - hit the ball with the back/side of the putter because everyone knows the player would make this putt 100 times in a row... except this time, but since the player hit it with the back of the club that miss doesn't really count as a miss. The One Hander - a putt missed while only using one hand surely doesn't count as 2 strokes if it was only 3 feet away, right?

Congrats man! I'm a long hitter so I've had a decent number of eagle putts (and short chips) but haven't yet got it done. That is how us normal people score... put a good series of holes together but then stick a couple blow-up holes with 7's and 8's on the card. Us mid-cappers just can't seem to make it all come together for 18 straight holes.

1. People that refuse to play ready golf, whether on the Teebox, in the fairway, on the green, or between holes. Get a clue. 2. People that hunt for lost balls in front of me. (Like, whipping out a grampa-getter and pulling balls out of water, walking along OB areas, etc) 3. Pitch marks on greens, divots in fairways... FIX THEM! 4. Garbage anywhere except in a garbage can. 5. Gimmick holes. (ie. Par 4's with drastic dogleg giving no chance of getting to the green, trees in middle of fairway, etc) 6. Partners who 'take' a putt that wasn't given to them. (ie, partner misses a 10 foot putt and rolls it to 3 feet, then misses that putt and shoots it by the hole 3 feet. They'll either walk up to it and hit it from an awkward stance and usually miss, pull the flamingo one-footed putt and usually miss, give it the backwards scoop shot and usually miss, or whack it away from the hole and pick it up while walking back to the golf cart) I guarantee that extra putt they never take never makes the scorecard.

I just bought new X22 Tours with ProjectX 5.5's. I am taking huge divots (after the ball, but bigger than other people at the range). I'm 5'7 and never needed to get my clubs fit before, but I'm thinking I may need to now. I've noticed since doing this video that my shaft flexes a ton before impact... do I need a stiffer shaft perhaps? Quick swing vid: Should my shaft flex this much before impact?

Hey guys, Waukesha golfer here. Wild Rock is the place to play in the Dells... unbelievably beautiful course. I've eaten at Del Bar in the Dells... steaks were dynamite! 2nd only to Mr. B's in Brookfield. Damned expensive at both places, but very, very good.

Went in to pick up a fairway wood... ended up trading in my X18's for a brand new set of X22 Tours. Giddy up!

I've been striking the ball better than I have in the past, but the divots I take are HUGE! When I go to the range and hit through my irons I leave behind a gaping patch of dirt... I look around and I seem to be the only one. I have just upgraded my irons (from Callaway X18 w/ Uniflex shafts to X22 Tour w/ ProjectX 5.5) and everything is stock (I'm 5'7"). I started taking huge divots last season with my old irons, but with these new irons it seems like every single shot is a battle with the turf. I make contact with the ball first, so the divots are in front of the ball like they should be. Help! My hands, wrists, and forearms need some relief! Any ideas?

Howdy, been golfing more than just on occasion for about 7 years. Started out near 110, got that down to a consistent 100 after about 2 seasons (our seasons are fairly short... May-Sept), then got that down to 90-95 for the next several seasons. Last season and this season consistently shooting 85-90. I feel like my ability level has improved in the past season so I hope to shoot in the low 80's to high 70's soon. If this doesn't happen this year, it surely will next. I need to work on my temper more than anything at this point... when I hit a bad shot or miss a bunch of short putts my head starts spinning and it can take a couple holes to calm down. I realize this so once I get that under control I'm sure my score will follow.
-
I got new clubs last week and feel like my ability level should get me at a point where I could shoot 3 or more rounds in a row under 85 on a couple of my favorite par 72 courses.
-
Last week, old irons (Callaway X18 Uniflex) - 84. This week, new irons (X22 Tours with PX 5.5) - 97 OUCH!!!

I am an IT consultant in the Milwaukee, WI area. Consulting sure does allow for plenty of time at the range and on the course... just wish my score(s) would reflect that.

The two best balls I hit this week was when I stepped on a rake coming out of a sandtrap. (ba-dum-bump)
