  1. I used Tour Velvets for years and had no issues with them until i tried the Lamkin Crosslines. The Tour Velvets worked, but the Crosslines feel so much better, have much more confidence that they're not going to slip.
  2. I've seen good deals on Nike VR Split Cavities on eBay recently.
  3. No, just take some lessons from a professional
  4. They're beautiful. Don't listen to those people, only people that should use Game Improvement clubs are the old or hopeless.
  5. not everyone's passive aggressive
  6. Never had a Taylormade, but the stickers on my drivers have never seemed to be firm enough to affect the flex. I just take the barcode off now, i buy too much equipment and it's a pain to take the sticky gunk off it now.
  7. I always thought the Exotics, because of the prominent X on the heads, were Callaway Hyper X, X series knockoffs
  8. Miura Blade, CB 202 and Fourteen TC550....that new Wilson looks sweet too
  9. Pick it up, you could have the next Scotty Cameron in your possession.
  10. I had my Ping Redwood Anser fitted. I don't think it helped me at all because i stand over the ball differently depending on things like grade, slope, glare, etc. I do have all my putter the same length. I don't even use the Redwood much at all, I'm into looks, and i like the blue on my G2.
  11. How about the Ping G5. I've seen the on eBay and at shops and seem to fall in your price range.
  12. I'm going to wait for the RAZR Hawk and demo it along with the Octane
  13. The Ping Karsten series is a budget putter. The Ping Redwood series is more comparable to the Nike Method and the Camerons
  14. i think the .58 or .6 depends on the shaft. I looked at my Project X and they use .6
  15. Anser G2, I just like the color.
  16. I started using Callaway Warbirds a few months back. I picked 4 packs of the cheaper Titleist balls at Costco last week so i'll start using those next year. I just buy whatever is cheap from a reputable name.
  17. There are a couple of older folks at my work and they recently picked up Nike Machspeed SQ irons and they love them. One of them had been playing Ping Eye 2s and the other Titleist CBs.
  18. They may not be a Ultra Game Improvement set like Ping, but they are definitely GI irons. My buddy has a set that i've hit many times, and they are night and day compared to the Nike/Miura Tour MBs i just picked up.
  19. How about the current Callaway X-Forged. For a cavity back, it has a pretty slim top line and a nice satin finish.
  20. How long have you been playing? A stiffer shaft does help control, but it can also hide deficiencies with a swing. I'd make sure that you have a solid swing before moving to a stiffer shaft.
  21. I tried these the other day, the ball flight is super high.
  22. I think they're Split Cavities. I'm thinking of picking up the S56 or Anser irons when available. Never hit a Ping before.
  23. The feel is totally different, the x-16 seems to have more of the weight distributed in the head. The 695s had a way stiffer shaft, a lot heavier, so the weight was more distributed. I haven't been playing that long almost 5 years, at the time of the switch my handicap went down to a 14. Took me two more years to get down to 6.
  24. I went from Callaway X-16s to Titleist 695 MBs after trying out my cousin's set. My handicap went down 10. My swing for whatever reason would drive the club head of the X-16s into the ground alot, probably due to the weight. My swing just favors a lighter club head. I also have a set of Nike VR TW Blades and just picked up the Callaway TA X Prototype, but also have the Nike VR Split Cavities
