Flagseeker Rangefinder by Game Face Sports
stianvm replied to jdowns7231's topic in Balls, Carts/Bags, Apparel, Gear, Etc.
I figured out i needed a rangefinder, but didnt want to shell out too much for it. I landed on a flagseeker Pro 1600, and so far i am a happy golfer with the right distance. No problem finding the range from 200yds and in ( mostly the distance i use it for). Only thing is it likes to chew batteries, so keep a pack handy. But for 200$, i couldnt be more happy. -

Westwood on fowler getting rookie of the year via twitter
stianvm replied to motteler621's topic in Tour Talk
I love twitter. Enjoy seeing what they think and mean behind the polished interview in any golfmagazine interview. That goes for everyone ofcourse, not only golfers. And is Westwood, and anyone public figure for that matter, obliged to adhere to certain rules because of who they are ? And if so, thats between Westwood and his sponsors if anything. And seemingly that aint no issue, so lets not create an issue. -
Nicely done Graeme! Well deserved!

I dont have words

It just got longer!.. Someone need to invent a clutchputt trophy and hand it over to him asap!!
-
That was an awesome bogey to say the least
-
Gotta thank Graeme and Tiger for providing us with a thriller of a finish!
-
Cool followthrough by Tiger there.. Too bad the camera wasn't on him the whole time there, looked like some interesting tantrum went down.
-
I remember the stories where Earl Woods would rattle coins and whatnot to get Tiger to focus on the swing and zone out everything else. Well that worked!..
-
Matteo might only be 17 years old, but he handles himself like a much more seasoned player. Italy is indeed shaping up to be a great golfnation.
-
Gotta wonder how good this guy will get. During 17 events on the European Tour including co-sanctioned tournaments this year he averages 20th place, with 9 top-10`s. The odds of him not picking up another major in 2011 is slim to none.
-
Not a Major, but a golf marathon. The cup should be replaced with golden golf-shoe-sneakers.
-
Being inside 120'ish yards either after an awesome drive on a par4, and put so much pressure on yourself to sticking it close that you dont manage to even find the green..
-
Exactly. I dont add up shots nor points before i am in tap-in range on the last putt on the 18th. I have some clue on how my round is going, but getting down to shots/points during the round does me no good at all.

Edit : (Ugh. Was in the wrong section when posting this thread. Should ofcourse be in the "Golf Equipment" subforum) How much does swingweight matter when you replace your driver ? I have played with the R7 for a year now until the shaft caved in the other day. Reshafting would set me back around 200$ here(expensive!!), so i figured out i'd give newer clubs with fancier technologies a go. R7 460 9.5 REAX 55 regular , 45 inches- Feels light although a total weight for 330ish grams(added a 16g of additonal MWT weights which should change the default D0 swingweight somewhat) This is the one that broke . R9 460 9.5 Aldila REAX 60, 45.75 inches, D4 - Feels heavier with a total weight of just over 300 grams TM Tour Burner 10.5 Fujikura REAX Superfast 60 regular, 45.5 inches, D5 - Feels heavier with a total weight of just below 300 grams During 2 test sessions i've had i cannot get a proper swing on the R9 and the Tour Burner at all, leaving ugly shots to . The R9 and Tour burner simply feels heavier, but is this because of the difference in swingweight or shaft length ? I wouldnt mind slices/hooks during testing, but the amount of ugly mishits leaves me wondering whats causing so severe results. Could a swing be so honed that such small changes can mess up so much ? Edit #2 : When writing i forgot all about kickpoints in shafts. Could a small change in kickpoint make the necessary difference in impact (or lack of proper impact) ? If i dont get around this ill just fix the R7 ( i really should because the clubs kicks serious arse)
-
Thats the shot that is filmed between the trees right ? If so, that finish, the whole swing really, is just a thing of beauty and determination.
-
If not everybody, atleast more than Johnson.
-
The thing is where was the spectators supposed to be ? On a course littered with bunkers all over the place. Have a spectator rule saying that you can walk anywhere outside the ropes but steer clear of the bunkers would'nt work. The alternative is having the spectators standing a long distance from the course, and that would simply not be acceptable.
-
And after all the talk in the media about the 1000+ _bunkers_, one should have known that places with sand just might BE a bunker.. I'm sorry, but im not in tears of the "injustice".
-
The players was aware of it in local rules, looker room postings etc. A bad day for paying attention if anything
-
Why would Kaymer crumble ?
-
By Johnsons reaction when leaving the scoring room it looked like a 2shot penalty. And it was.
-
So..Why the focus on Dustins 2. shot on the 18th ? Did he ground the club in what is supposed to be a regular bunker and not a waste-bunker ?
