  1. Okay, I confess also: I once took one rangeball with me. The reason? I was so disgusted with the bald rubbish balls I got (20 for 2 euro), that I wanted proof to show to other people. The ball I took has no more dimples wherever you look... Ballflight? What ballflight? And hard as a rock! With a thing like that, you can expect to hit a dent in your club-face... I always carry it in my bag. Since that ball was written off some 30 years ago, I didn't feel a bit guilty. On the contrary, I believe the management from that course is stealing people's money by charging for that junk.
  2. Do like the caddies: weave a towel between the clubs.
  3. I wonder how her golf-swing looks like when a person has this kind of motoric skills !?
  4. As said by others: maken sure you get the correct length and lie-angle! I'm 6.3 foot myself, and I have 3/4 inch longer shafts and +3° upright lie angle. When I started, I bought a standard set (big bertha's), but my pro kept telling me it was not the correct sizing... After 3 months I went back to the shop, and complained that they didn't fit me correctly. They took over my clubs, but I had to pay a supplement for a new ( and correct ) set of irons...
  5. I have Adidas 360's (also II) myself and suffered the same problem. But before I went golfing yesterday, I treated my shoes with some waterproofing spray, not exactly expecting too much. They remained completely dry however, even though the course was extremely wet and muddy!
  6. Are your Adidas tours from 2010? It's stated on the box that those only fit that year...
  7. I have my Adidas since 2 years, and really like them. The only downside is that they're not 100% waterproof anymore, so I'll have to try the suggestion from the other poster. As for replacement spikes: I never managed to get the original ones, but there's plenty of alternative choices that perfectly fit the adidas! Best to go to a store, because there's different screw standards for golf shoes...
  8. I'm looking for a good gps-system and from all the systems I came across, these 2 are the ones I'm looking into the most. I think the Golfbuddy Platinum is the one I verge to the most because of the touch screen and no annual fees. Of the 60 courses in Belgium, they have 10 in the full layout mode. The Skycaddie SGX has none in the equivalent Holeview mode for my area. My question: is the accuracy of the GolfBuddy on par with the Skycaddie? It seems to me that Golfbuddy gets their course-info from sattelite images, whereas Skycaddie has someone walk the course, and is therefore more accurate? I'm also under the impression that GolfBuddy will be able to rapidly update their courses because of this procedure. Last question: does GolfBuddy give as much info on hazards as Skycaddie for the basic courses ( not the full layout or holeview mode )? Thanks!
  9. Ha, Top Flight Gamer V2 i've read some good reviews about. I ordered them a couple of days ago, and will soon find out for myself how good they are. Since i'm a high handicapper, I just want a ball with a little bit more feel than the standard hard Top Flite. Nothing fancy.

    Green Fees

Since all the replies are for US courses, let me add the fees for Belgian courses: in weekends, it varies between 60 and 80 euro's. Good quality courses, no junk.
  11. I'm a dentist, and since I don't work on thursdays, I have lots of time to practice!
  12. I replaced my cheap Voit putter with the Backstryke Marxman. I had been hesitating for a while because I don't like the look of it. I have done 2 sessions on the putting green, and I have been struggling with it... It looks weird at adress. I was rather confident with my Voit, but now I have lost consistency. Maybe it's just a normal transition-proces I have to get through, but I almost expected it to put by itself going by the reviews! I thought my hands where already forward with my old putter, but this forward press thing is very different. I lost my confidence with the Marxman. I hope with some practice this will come back...
