I agree with never too cold as long as your are prepaired for it. Now living in the NW cold and wet is the norm. If I was from So cal I would have to say 60's!! LOL

So I have been playing alot of free golf for my birthday and have been slicing the driver. Not my other clubs just my driver. Why can this be??? Some of the swings feel like I am just taking a slap at the ball. Maybe I am just feeling nervous with the driver and comfortable with my irons and hybrids. Thanks for the help

Thats a good question. I think he wanted to get me into some lessons. I'll admit there are times I struggle with hitting the ball well but I think in general I hit the ball great. sure I can work on some stuff, but who doesn't. When he offered to film me for free I had to jump on it. Looking at the swing to me it looks great with only a little tweek her and there. I was surprised on how much I turn though being fat LOL He wants me to set up more with my hands lower because he says it is just how its done. But he did say that I start o plane and end on plane as well ( isn't that the pt??) So all in all I think it was very helpful to me to look at and try work out the bugs.

Never played there, but do live in the area. November could bring nice weather but more then likely it will be windy and rainy. So bring lots of dry clothes and good rain gear. Rain gloves and make surethe grips on your clubs are good.

You could try plumb bobbin. I have never done this but see some do really well with it. I look from behid my ball and then behind the hole, with what I see I stand over the ball and look from the ball to the hole and see the line. Kind of like Tiger woods video game. Been doing really well as of lately too. Use to 3 putt about 60 % of the holes. Now I only have 1-2 per 18

Anything inside of 100 yards was good for me yesterday. Would like to get better from 160 . That is a good 7 iron for me. Guess I'll go some were I can set up a target at 160 and in and work on hitting the target.

well I played yesterday and shot a 88. Had 2 problem holes posted a 7 and a 8. Most of the holes I was on and putting for par and was good deal away form the hole. My putting has gotten better to almost stop 3 putts ( except the 7,8 yesterday) So waht are some drills I can do to get my approach shots up tight in reg to make pars or even a birdie once in a while. Alright have played and quit golf for years. I started playing for something to doin the summer while out on summer break. The town course had a deal 45 dollar student yr rate for all the golf you wanted. So I played alot. I sucked alot too. Never had a lesson and never really kept score. I played every summer for 4 yrs (9-12th grade) Gave it up for a few years because lack of time I guess. Then took it up again and was scoring around 100+ I guess. Then I got too into it and started throwing golf clubs if I didn't do as well as I thought I should. Gave it up for a few years it wasn't fun. After a few year break I took it up again when I bought my frist house. My neighbor was a big golfer and we played alot together at a course just minutes form the house. Then I was shooting the mid 90's. Gave it up again when my kids were born for lack of time and money I guess. So now my kids are 6-4 and I have taken it back up again in the last year. I've had a few 90 rds and a mid to low 80 rds. My loving wife has gotten me new irons (nickent 3dx ) I bought a cleveland Hi bore driver which I hit great. I got a new putter from my brother,sister in law. The last rd I was putting my best ever only had one 3 putt. Most of the putts for birdie were lagged up there for a nice les then 3 ft tap in for par or bogey. Had a few issues but all in all a great rd. So what does everyone think my new goal should be?? I'm thinking of trying to lower my handicap and think keeping my 3 putts down and the scores in the low 80's or high 70's. Should be a good goal to have. Thnaks for reading.

Well this morning I had a tee time for 8 16 am. Well in the Northwest it rains from time to time lol. So I get up and it is dumping out side. Get to the pro shop and decide on a bucket of balls frist until my freinds show up. Was hitting the ball great. Freinds show up and we go to the frist tee. I was wet from head to toe. Rain gear wasn't all that good but I was dry in places LOL. Was 4 over at the turn and we decided to take a break for hot coffe and a snack. ( this was a big mistake) I got all stiff and took a few holes to get back into my game. ended up shooting 85 which is great in the rain right?? Almost pulled off a 81 but had a small hicup on 16,17. But that is golf right. Also was using the putter I got for my birthday. Its a nock off ghost putter. Made alot of single putts and only one three putt. That is my worst part of my game too. So do any of you guys like to play in the rain??

I am a big guy with big hands.Thinking of trying one of the jumbo grips for my putter. Anyone want to chime in on this??

Yesterday was my 10 yr anni. My wife bought me some brand New Genix 3dx Nickent Irons. Well I hit them yesterday after work... Was intresting to say the least. (new club kinks) Went golfing with a freind after work Never played the course before. Its a 68.8/126. I shot a 84!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thanks honey. I hit them really well almost 85-90% had a few bad shots. Need to work on my putting though :) I could of shot a Hi 70's I bet.

Well I was wondering if Graphite would be a wise choice if I was to build me a set of clubs?? Irons 3-gw. I have a swing speed of 105-110 mph. Do take a divit on most shots. Some say I have a desending blow type swing. So which shaft would I need?? Any club gurus out here?? Thanks. I have a 3 iron clubhead and found a deal on UST IROD iron shaft. Will build it and see if it works or will it break. Thanks again for the help

Well I have just found out that I have a Bone spur in my left hip. I'm right handed and everyonce in a while my hip will kill me after I go to the range. Is there anything I can do to help the pain?? Or should I just give up on golf?? I'm trying to find a better swing tempo that might be better for it. Thanks
