  2. Is it cone shaped similar to an incense or does it have a flat surface like a traffic cone?
  3. That my friend is an example of a middle aged man doing everything he can so he can still compete on some level with the young guys (mainly his son) and show them that the old mans still got it. You will know exactly what im talking about in about 25 years.
  4. Yea....Its not uncommon to see guys like this as they get around that age and older. Sometimes they cant hit it 200yds...but its straight. They get up around the green (and they are seemingly always laying somewhere just off the front of the green) and its lights out. Especially if they are on a course they have been playing 3 times a week for 10 years.
  5. Its called a wedge tee
  6. I dont know.......but if you do happen to figure out the answer you could probably sell it and make $1 billion. I think we are all trying to figure out how to make all our shots be like the good ones.
  7. Im going to go with one major...that being The British Open. I dont really like him to win The Masters this year. There is always so much expectation on him to win at Augusta and it gives me the feeling that this is not where he will break his major drought. Think he will win one of the other majors first, then his next one will be at Augusta.
  8. Well I "intend" to test the surface when walking in a bunker. Perfect example....I regularly play at a course where many bunkers dont have much sand in them. If you're not careful or not paying attention, you might hit behind the ball into what is virtually hardpan with 1/2 inch of sand over it. You need to be aware of this when deciding how to play the shot. When I take my stance by the ball, im feeling just how far my feet are going down in that area. You cant have much more intent than that. A "loophole" was mentioned earlier and basically thats what it is. Obviously you have to be able to take your stance....and obviously (if you're smart) you will be paying attention to the surface.
  9. Dang! Those look like engagement photos or something. I dont know if it was necessary for them to take it to that level.

    Cialis help?

Heck yea it works for golf! I mean...who doesnt want a stiffer shaft in their driver. LOL..I crack myself up.
  11. Interesting because for me it seems like a combination of both. When considering a new club(s), there seem to be some brands that I just dont try...Ping for example. I never consider Callaway clubs either. However, I do have an old 3w that I had made from the GigaGolf site and as it turns out I hit it better than any ive ever tried.
  12. The Gamer V2 surly isnt right for everyones game, but its probably right for more people than actually realize it. Truth is...you are just not going to get some people to have an objective view of it simply because of the stigma of the name TF. Ive noticed this on several occasions in conversations ive had with people about golf balls or when I tell people what ball I play. It really even does no good to give them the ball and let them try it because the stigma and preconceived ideas about the brand will usually block any sense of objectivity. It really only seems to be people who participate on golf forums that know that the Gamer V2 is a good ball. Perfectly fine with me though. I think the ball is great and it performs exactly as I need it to...and at $20 a box, I cant see myself changing balls anytime soon.
  13. These two points are exactly what I thought. First I was wondering why he went in the bunker in the first place. When GC went to the video and I looked up the first thing I saw was him going into the bunker. This immediately struck me as odd. And truth be told...I intentionally test the surface of the bunker by paying attention every time Im walking in one and even more so when taking a stance or digging in my feet.
  14. The Top Flite Gamer V2 is widely considered the best "value" ball on the market. This opinion is pretty well supported on this and other golf forums. It has performance that rivals many mid level balls. There is now a Tour version of the ball that has a urethane cover which promotes more greenside spin.
  15. IMO I dont think there is any question given the way the conversation unfolded between player and caddie the he did indeed test the surface. Now whether or not there was intent is open to question. I am inclined to believe that when he heard Stacy ask if there would be much bounce he just reacted to her question and inadvertently pressed down with his right foot without even thinking about it. Now prior to Stacy asking if there would be much bounce, some of what the caddie did there in the bunker might look purposeful to some people. Im not sure myself. Either way....I think the obvious move he made did test the surface, but was inadvertent and he wasnt intending to gain an advantage to the player. EDIT: I might add that in hindsight Stacy made a bad decision in asking him that question while he was standing in the bunker. Maybe should have waited until he got out. But in the heat of the moment, shes probably not thinking about the semantics of it all.
  16. On 8/27/10 at my home course I had bogey on 1..birdie on 9...and 16 pars for an even par 72. Funny thing is..I hit the ball much better now but havent managed to score lower than 74 since then.
  17. Just browsing around the web and run into this. Its the Maxfli U/Series 5.0 stand bag. I have to say that IMO this is one of the nicest looking stand bags ive ever seen. Yea..it says Maxfli on the side, but this thing looks really nice. Does anyone out there have one of these? If so, what do you think about it? http://www.golfgalaxy.com/maxfli-useries-50-stand-bag/w13mxfliuse5stdbg/product
  18. I dont mind Sir Nick. Announcers really dont have any effect on my viewing experience. I dont pay much attention to them really. The only announcer that I really care to not hear is Chris Berman.
  19. The question is....how will he play? Will he win one of these tournaments?
  20. I have a thought that I tell myself and its "first tee driver swing". Basically its just trying to really focus on just making a nice smooth easy swing off that first tee.
  21. Hes never really played as many events as everyone else would like him to. But at this point, my guess would be...He has certain events that he likes and he will play those (Firestone, Bay Hill, etc). He has certain events that he feels gets him prepared to win majors and he will play those. He has certain events that he is tied to financially whether it be his own event or some "pay for play" thing. He will obviously play the majors. He now has to work his schedule around the times he will have his kids. He has mentioned this virtually every time hes been asked about his schedule since the divorce.
  22. I bet she would be interesting to play 18 with. Probably has some pretty good stories.
  23. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1521530-condoleezza-rice-drops-roll-tide-at-pebble-beach-golf-shot-hits-fan-in-head?hpt=hp_c2 Condy needs to work on her finish. Low and "left" Condy....low and "left"
  24. Played a couple times with Billy Ray Brown back when we were in high school.
  25. Heres and idea if you can do it. Have a putter at work. Pick a spot. Get yourself some kind of wireless headset for your office phone or use bluetooth on a cell. For those of you who spend time on conference calls...practice your 4 to 6 footers while on calls. Next thing you know...when you're out on the course those must make putts become nothing more than the office putt you've hit time and time again. Has worked wonders for me!
