I'm pretty new to the sport and I have been looking at possibly getting the David Leadbetter DVD Training set. I haven't found any user reviews of these DVDs on the internet. Before I plop down $90, has anyone used these DVDs and what did you think. Recommended or no?

I have them. And have found them quite good so far.

I haven't watched all of them as yet, and to be honest I like the drills more than the self instruction part of it.

The swing analysis software you get with it is fantastic though, which is one of the reasons I got it. I take my camcorder down the range with me, hit balls and then get it on the laptop with the software and have a look etc.

IMO very worthwhile just for that.

I do like my set very much.

I've had mine for a few months.

In golf, it is easy to get bombarded with tips, swing theory, and varying viewpoints. This can lead to trying something new each time you visit the range. I decided I would make Ledbetter the single source of my instruction, and groove the mechanics he teaches when I practice at the range.

The DVD's cover everything in the golf swing for the beginner and drills to unlearn bad habits for those of us that have been learning for a while. The video analysis and ability to video your own swing is nice. You compare your swing to Charles Howell's at various check points in the swing to see areas where you are breaking down.

If you really want to put in the time to get a better swing, this set can help.

However, just because you hit every fairway, then every green, doesn't mean you won't 3 putt.
