Just found a 3-9 set of these at Savers for 17 bucks and since they said Titleist on them I figured I would buy em and at the very least probably be able to sell them for $50 on ebay. Thinking about trying them for a couple of rounds next spring. They seem to be an early attempt at cavity backs but would probably still classify as blades by today's standards. So anyway, does anyone still game these?

I love that place.  Last month I picked up a nice set of "Tour Model Evolution" irons 4-W for $1.50 a club (I left the 3 behind for someone else).  They had pretty fresh GP tour wrap grips on them and TT "Dynamic" (not gold or lite) shafts.  R-flex, but I could tell from the step pattern that they are flighted (meaning short irons are progressively hard-stepped).  Feel great to me.  Reading about the brand I found they were a premier supplier of Ping knock-offs, possibly a spin-off of Hogan, and I guess BeCu was available?  What I like about this particular set is that it is a perfect morph of Eye2 and Zings.  Basic Eye2 shape with a bit of the Zing toe and sole relief/camber features.  Lofts are exactly in between the Eye2 and Zing specs as well.  As I imagine you feel with the Titleist's you scored, I'm not about to game these but it would be hard to let them go for less than $50.

    • Lemme guess….’ We don’t want any confrontation so nobody says anything.’ Sheesh…..Call him out and fix the problem.
    • Went to a PING fitting day today. Going to be ordering a G430 Max 3w with a 75g x-stiff shaft at 5w length and a 3h. I forget what my fitter did with the shaft on that but she told me she’s going to email the club the specs of everything. The 3w combination we found pretty quickly. As for the hybrid, we tried a bunch of different head and shaft combinations for that distance with mixed results. Then she handed me the 3h and I took three swings with it and knew it was the one.
    • Yeah, this isn't sandbagging. It's outright cheating. He should be banned.
    • That’s quite a generalization. It’s clear that you don’t like water but there are plenty of us that drink it just fine. My daily intake is usually about 20oz of black coffee, 16oz of soda, 8oz of milk mixed into a protein shake, and anywhere between 30-60oz of water. It doesn’t even need to be cold and I kind of prefer it closer to room temperature than cold. I quite like the taste of tap water, with sole exception being the tap water at Magic Kingdom (it’s terrible). I can’t stand when people bring me tap water with a lemon wedge in it. I didn’t ask for lemon in my water.
    • This is the part I don’t get. He’s not even kind of sandbagging, he’s blatantly doing it and submitting scores that are verified to be incorrect. How he’s not banned from competition is beyond me.
