I saw a short article in Golfweek that Larry Packard had passed away.  He was 101 years young when he died.  My "home" course in Ann Arbor was designed by Mr. Packard and his timeless design still works.  He mainly worked in the Midwest and Florida so his name is not that well known in many places.  From the article he sounded like the kind of guy I would enjoy.  When asked what the secret of living to 100 was he stated, "Don't drink .... cheap liquor."
