New Iron Set For Solid Single Handicapper

If your are a solid single handicap, shouldn't you know what irons to look at? -
2 iron, 6 iron, 52*, putter

If you are happy with those prices and hitting "nicer" balls, I would suggest not hitting the balls over the fence anymore. It may come back and bite you in the butt.

I truely believe you win match play by wearing out your opponent, keep the ball in the fairway.

Yesterday, couldn't keep the the tee shot on the fairway for the front nine, but got it figured out on the back. 48-36.

Played at The Home Course yesterday. Shot 48-36, beat my best nine hole score by one stroke on the backside, 3 birdies, 3 pars, 3 bogies.

Nothing better than Mizuno doesn't matter which model. Although it seems to me that the new Nike VR's are trying to turn Mizuno loyalist with their similar looks and forged feel. I've hit them and they worth looking into.

Thinking about taking my 2 iron out of my bag and strengthening my irons by one degree to add an additional wedge. That would make my 3 iron 20* and my wedge 46*. I would change my wedge set up from a 52* and 59* to a 50*, 54*, 60*. Anyone done anything similar to this?

I just find it hard to beleive that any single digit handicaper can gain 15 yards just by switching drivers.
