Club change..same brand

So for the last 5 years i've tried to play titleist blades with hit and miss success.   I just don't play often enough to groove my swing...unless we are on a PHX golf trip.  By the 3rd day I make better contact but only golfing once a week or two this summer, its not worth the agony anymore.  So I just pulled the pin on used 716 AP2s.  I tried the 718's at fitting day this spring and my dispersion was tighter out of 3 different clubs.   These clubs come with the project 6.0 that my fitting recommended.   Look forward to fall golf with them.

I played callaway fusions for years.  Enjoyed them.  They are a smaller head similar to blades.  I always loved titleist for their classic looks.  I'm not a hack but not a low handicapper.  Thought i'd work at getting good with blades.  I can hit them quite well on the range as most ppl can attest.  Course play requires a more discerning player.   I have too many interests to focus on the blades, but planning to get a simulator for winter.  I'll play them in the basement over our 7 months of winter (Canada).

Gotcha! Titleist always did have that sleek/classic look for sure!

Blades have a second kind of cool about them, and that's something that can't be criticized. I hit the Titleist blades at a recent demo and they're nice. I hit a few good shots and they felt great - nice and soft. Then I hit one thin... and ouch like I've never felt before. You mishit you know it. But they're beautiful clubs. Not for me... but if I was better.

Agreed,  they feel good in the hands, look better in the bag.  I'll never get rid of em but look forward to perimeter weighting and a thick sole.
