I have the above driver with a 55 Red Lite Dianama Graphite Senior flex shaft, a Golf Pride MCC plus 4 standard grip. I had the shaft cut down 1” to 44”. The driver has the red swing weight in the sole of the club. Would I gain anything by changing that out to the black for more weight? I need more distance!

If you took the shaft down by an inch, the swing weight is probably in the D0 or lower range with the red 9 grams weight, depending on the grip you are using. The 14 will get you higher and should help you feel the head better. You can find them on eBay pretty cheap.

You could also try adding lead tape to the sole, 1 gram per inch, and see if that feels better first.

It depends on your swing and what the shaft is currently doing.  Essentially get it fit properly.  If you don't have access to a pro to guide you it will have to be trial and error.  It may be that you benefit from a lighter and shorter shaft.  It is very difficult to say anything without understanding what happens when you hit with the current setup

The fitting Pro is the one that cut it down. I bought a 915F seven wood off EBay and it came with a black weight and a -1” shaft. When I hit that club it really feels good and solid.

Try the tape first then to feel the difference.

Looks like you are down to trial and error if you don't want to go to another pro or fitting place.  But just to ask another question, is it possible that with your swing speed and club loft, this is the maximum distance you can get.  Because one possibility is your driver loft is too low and you might possibly benefit by getting a more lofted driver.  The basic rule of thumb is the slower your club head speed, the more loft you need.  Of course, there are exceptions to this, but possibly the 7 wood loft suits you much better than the driver.  See if you can get better distance with a 3 or 5 wood than your driver.

This was done before he cut the 1” off.

The driver has 12* of loft with the adjustability to go to 13.5*.

I’m just wondering if going from a 9gr weight to the 14gr will help me hit the ball farther?

Possibly that additional distance can come from an increased weight.  It could come from more loft, or even a different flex or kick point on your shaft.  We really can't tell anything without knowing more about your swing and the numbers you achieve when you hit your driver (spin, launch angle etc.).

If your only experiment is going to be weight, it may not yield ideal results, but it is one that is fairly easy to do and alter if necessary.  Lead tape is something you can add and remove as needed
