This guy went to the Tour Championship 6 times in his 10 year career. His last couple of years have been horrible. He finished last year 104th on the money list. This year hes not doing great. Any comments

"People think the size of the head is most important. Wrong. It's getting a quality shaft. test different shafts to see which goes the straightest. Also, more degrees of loft on the head is better than less. Eleven degrees is about right."

Well he did win in 2006, which I want to say was his first win in a long time. I've never really considered him an elite player, just solid. Perhaps 2007 was just a bit of a down year? Competition may be tougher now too as it seems you still have to play some solid golf to finish 104th. Who knows. He was playing around with the S&T so maybe that's a factor. It's only March, plenty of time to get it going.

Yup! Lumpy didn't even get to a cool million in on course earnings last year... My guess is that he is more focused on family... it's is just more important to him(family) than working on his game, all the time(which one needs to do to be elite).

It's likely Lumpy just wants to make a very good living off the tour... I mean he will take a win, if it comes... but 1 or 2 top 10's some top 25's to keep his card is going to be fine with him. IMHO

My guess is Lumpy banked about $1.2 million last year(including off course stuff)... any other guesses? (again not a bad living for us MN folk)

Yea hes good. He beat tiger in the 93 U.S. Amateur..

I think we need guys like tim and John Daly because the tour is losing characters.
Everyone likes the guy that shows emotion and is like the rest of us like John Daly and Boo Wkeeley
