Got HDTV. Question is, got DVR / Tivo?

Not sure which came first - HD or TiVO / DVR, but having both is a deadly combination - I always have something good to watch, don't have to watch commercials and spend barely anytime setting up programming.

I watched yesterday's golf, normally 3 hours, in 45 minutes, probably less.

No ED commercials
No corporate bigwig interview
No Jimmy Roberts (Woohoo!)
No hockey intrusion
Instant playback
Easy transfer to video file format

I cannot watch golf w/o DVR now.

Kill slow play. Allow walking. Reduce ineffective golf instruction. Use environmentally friendly course maintenance.

Here in Alaska you can get an HDTV cable box, and it is also a DVR, and I am the same way that you are, no commercials, just golf, boy is it great!
