Have a quick question about the differences between the old TM R7 460 and the RM R7 460 Draw...

I used to have the R7 460, with the weights set up for draw. I recall the 460 had a 60g shaft, while the 460 Draw has a 55g? Both shafts are RE*AX shafts? My old one was in stiff flex.

I was very happy with the 460, but see it is no longer available. The 460 draw may be a possibility to replace my current 905R

So, a 460 set up with draw weighting v a 460 draw - other than the shaft and no moveable wights, any differences?

Cheers
Mike

As far as i am aware the other key difference is that the clubface is actually setup a couple of degrees closed to further aid the ball going left.

Other than the lighter shaft and lack of moveable weights that is it i think.

Someone may come along and correct me however

R7 460s are available at online stores. No problem getting them brand new in original wrappers. In fact...I prefer to buy my clubs online...knowing they have not been hit.

Yeah, I have been looking on rock bottom golf but they don't seem to have them - only the 460 draw. Having trouble finding places that will ship to Dubai - most are Europe/China/Japan/Australia but not UAE

Look at tgw.com....plenty of 460s with many options. That is my favorite place to shop with the best customer service.

If the guy is looking for a r7 460 and can't find it elsewhere...he sure can find exactly what he wants (correct loft...correct shaft flex...etc) at TGW.

Also...TGW net price is competitive. Rockbottom will advertise the club but sock you shipping. Just check out the price to ship a golf bag....some $20 for shipping! Or $10 shipping for a driver. To end it all regarding pricing....TGW will price match competitor's pricing ! Done it plenty of time with ease and I get exactly what I want. That can't be beat.

Thanks for the info. Had a look on TGW and they do indeed have the R7 460 in the loft & flex I would want for $199 + $55 shipping.

I compared the 460 Draw there also - also $199 + $55 shipping. Compared to rockbottomgolf this is more (they were $169 + $35 shipping) but the TGW selection seemed better, and the fact they have the club I am after is more of a bonus. Will see if I can sell my 905R and take things from there. Cheers for the info Thanks Mike

I would still suggest contacting TGW for a price match on the 460 Draw if you are going that route. Their customer service is very good and accomodating.

Biggest thing....choose the right club with the right specs. Don't chose a club just because it is cheaper.

    • Current state of the program.  I can only do 25-50% swing speed, probably under 50% since I was hitting the ball out to the 150 yard marker (yay!),  to get the arms down and somewhat turn the body through impact. I mean somewhat. Arms down + body turn don't like to mesh at all. Anything faster and the body does stupid uncoordinated stuff. Mostly, I am stuck in the old pattern of staling the turn and flipping at the ball.  So, until I see progress. I am not posting anything here.
    • Thanks for the video! Do you think a ball between the arms type of training aid would get me in a better position? I also have a Tour Striker Swing Trainer (PlaneMate-like contraption) if that could be helpful.
    • There are some little things here and there — the shoulder turn is a bit flat, and the arms move around you a bit too much too. Take a look at this video:
    • I've developed a serious case of the shanks and difficult to control push fades/slices with my irons lately. I used to draw my irons pretty consistently. I currently most draw driver. Also, I don't like how my elbow sometimes pops out from down the line, especially with driver and/or if I'm trying to hit it harder. I can control the elbow a lot better with irons, but quite difficult to have good contact and speed while controling it on driver.
