I've been Playing Golf for: 16 years
My current handicap index or average score is: +1
My typical ball flight is: High Draw on the good days, the problem is my swing seems to change every day, literally new path and flight all the time. These videos are only a month apart each, and for some reason my swing both feels completely different everytime I play. I am a scratch golfer, who looked for more distance, and in doing so my swing became extremely inconsistent and my distance did not change much.
The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: Short slice or hook. I've always been a short hitter, so I wanted to get some more distance, tried some swing changes like making my swing more upright etc and on the good days like the first video my swing speed will be around 112 and my distance is enough for me atleast, but on the bad days I struggle to get past 105 and it is all over the place. I feel like I no longer know what to change or do, and have honestly lost a lot of motivation. Has anyone experienced something like this before? How can I approach this problem and and hopefully have a swing like the first one all the time?

The first video was taken this summer and the other two are about a month after

With good players, the flaws are smaller and thus high-speed video from the correct angles (including FO) become more important.

I don't think we can see much here. Maybe a little leftward swing path that you balance out with a little too much early extension, but that stuff is common among younger players (especially the EE), but it could also absolutely be why your ball flight changes somewhat often.

So…

  • Good camera angles.
  • High-speed (or "slow-mo") video.

    • Day 430 - 2025-12-04 Slow motion backswings (with chippy shots) with AlmostGolf balls.
    • Day 24 (4 Dec 25) - Spent about an hour working with the new 55° wedge in the backyard.  Kept all shots to under 20yds.  Big focus - not decelerating thru downswing and keeping speed up with abbreviated backswing.  Nothing like hitting a low flighted chip with plenty of check spin and then purpose to float a pitch of similar distance.
    • Day 114 12-4 Put some work in on backswing, moving the hips correctly, then feeling over to lead side. Didn't hit any balls was just focused on keeping flowy and moving better. I'll probably do another session tonight and add in some foam balls.
    • Didn't say anything about your understanding in my post.  Well, if you are not insisting on alignment with logic of the WHS, then no.  Try me/us. What do you want from us then?? You are not making sense. You come here and post in an open forum, question a system that is constructed with logic, without using any of your own and then give us a small window of your personal experience to support your narrative which at first sight does not makes sense.  I mean, if you are a point of swearing then I would suggest you cut your losses and humor a more gullible audience elsewhere. Good heavens.
