Putting green in basement - need help

I am going to build a big putting green in my basement that I can putt on as well as chip to.

Unfortunately I live in Singapore so there aren't any synthetic green manufacturers or suppliers here.

Does anyone have thoughts on doing this myself or about kit style projects I could get shipped in?

Just buying thin carpet will do just fine, I don't think you necesarily need to buy a synthetic green. As for building one, I would try to create some type of platform that sits six inches above the ground so that you can cut out holes...

thanks. I was thinking about a platform of sorts in order to put in holes but to also soften the feel of chips landing on it.

Was wondering in some thick rubber under carpet squares or artificial grass would dampen chips bouncing off the concrete?

If the rubber was thick enough, it would definitely help. Not sure it would be perfectly the same, but it would be pretty darn close.
