Hit them. Loved them. I have a question though. Because I hit a 16* and 20* hybrid I am not getting anything longer than a 5 iron. I am thinking about getting all the wedges that are available in the G10 as I need to replace my wedges anyways. Any reason NOT to get the G10 wedges? I swear I have a harder time making a decision on wedges than I do the entire set! Thanks for the help.

Only reason not to would be if there is another wedge that you hit better and feel more comfortable with.

That is what I was thinking. I am pretty weird about things, I like everything in my bag to look and feel the same especially the grips. I actually have ping grips on my cobra speed and cleveland hybrids. Good news is a buddy just ordered almost the exact same measurements I neex in the same G10's...I will make a test run of his as soon as he gets them dirty.

I just got fit for G10's and the pro recomended that I get the 4-PW and the UW in the G10 and get the the Tour W wedges for the SW and LW. I ordered the 4-UW and will be getting the Tour W SW and LW in a few months, and he will regrip and lengthen my current wedges.

He also recomended that I not get any hybrids as I will hit the 4 better, but he is a firm believer in not spending the high cost of fairway woods and hybrids compared to the cost of irons.

One thing to keep in mind is that the lofts of the G10 wedges are a little different from other clubs so if you get the PW it is recomended that you get the UW.

Get the Ping Tour W's vs the stock wedges. I never really liked the wedges that came with iron sets. Just my opinion.

Enjoy the new iron's.

If you want it to match, get the G10 iron wedges, but they are a bit thick and chunky.
Maybe go for the Ping Tour W wedges I think they are called because they are not bad wedges, and will be the same price.

    • Is it? I bought the Stack radar to replace my PRGR based on what Stack told me! When I am swinging for speed, the PRGR would miss 50%-80% of my backswings due to a higher speed. The stack seldom misses those- at least for me.
    • As an analyst by nature, I would like to compare the scores under both systems. It is something we can easily do if we have the data. I actually thought the new system was less fair to those whose game was on the decline - like mine! Old: Best 10 of last 20 scores with the .96 multiplier. Course handicap excluded course rating and overall par. New: Best 8/20. Course handicap includes course rating -par. My understanding is Stableford caps scores at Net double bogey like stroke play. If so, handicap should be slower to rise because you are only using 8 versus 10 scores. If I am missing something, I am curious enough to  want to understand what that may be. My home course tees that I play are 72.1/154 now. My best score out here is 82. When my game started to decline, my handicap didn’t budge for 13 rounds because of good scores in my first 8! I know I am an anomaly but my handicap has increased almost 80% in the past few years (with only a few rounds this year). For a few months I knew I was losing every bet because my game was nowhere near my handicap. I suspect I have steamrolled a few nuances but that shouldn’t matter much. When I have modeled this with someone playing the same tees and course, one good round, or return to form, will immediately reduce the handicap by some amount.
