Uh oh, maybe thats not the word im looking for. Its that stuff that looks like water on the ground thats kinda sticky I think?

just plain "dew"... mildew is the stuff growing in the lockeroom and basement.

As for morning golf... absolutely love it. I played Shepard's Hollow last year (top 100 public) and was the first to tee off. One of the greens crew watched me make two birdies. I was -1 on the 8th (par 3) and sort of screwed myself by hitting the edge of the green and rolling into pond. Ended up with a 6 on the par 3. Went on to shoot an 81 on a 72.2/134 course... so all in all not bad... two holes really hurt me with triples. This is a very memorable round for me because the course is beautiful and I was playing my ass off for a while.

I love being outdoors in the early morning however, I prefer to have the dew gone when I am golfing. A few years ago I used to meet two of my friends early, before the course officially opened up. We would play the first nine, stop at the turn and pay for the whole round and continue on. I guess there are good points and bad points, but still whether it is morning, day, or evening the golf course can be a great place of serenity.

The first tee time at my club right now is 7:30. We always tee off between 7:45 and 8:00 and rarely do we get stuck behind anyone slow. We made the mistake this week of playing in the afternoon on Sunday and spent more time waiting around to shoot than we can handle. Our normal morning round is about 3:30-3:45 where this afteroon one was basically 5 hours.
