I started out with a Knight set from Wal-mart.....$50....Don't listen to anyone that says you can't learn and develop a good golf swing w/ cheap Wal-mart clubs.

For $229 you can get a brand name set used off e-bay....so to answer your question... I wouldn't buy them, I would look on ebay for a good used brand name set..only for a few reasons, adding clubs, quality, service if needed.

Totally agree. i would get a used set of name brand irons and have that as a base... then you can always add and subtract from that... I know lots of people disagree with me on this but good clubs make all the difference in the world... My friend got my old clevelands after i bought my new set... He had been playing with Knights for 5 years and the first round we went out and he played with the clevelands i would say he dropped 10+ strokes. It may be mental but who gives a care...

But like ive said about a million times on this board... I love buying stuff... so my oppinion my be a bit biased.
