I'm going to be buying new irons soon (as my Taylor Made Irons are 12yrs old ), and the 3 I've norrowed it down too are:

Cleveland CG Gold Clubs
Nike CCi Irons
Titleist AP 1 Irons

what are your opinions on these irons, price aside they are basically all around the same cost (Nike being the cheapest)

I'm actually leaning more toward the Titleist AP 1 myself then the Clevelands being a close 2nd...

I would go for the AP1's. I hit these recently and they were very impressive. I will be pulling the trigger on these in less than a month.

I am currently using 2004 big bertha's so the AP1s provided much more feel for me. The sweet spot has a very smooth feel.

I noticed that you are also considering the CG Gold. You may want to also consider the CG Red as I think these are quite forgiving for a club in the "better-player" category.

I just got my CG Golds last night , have a look under the "CG Gold anyone got them" thread... i wanted to try the AP1's too but hey took to long to come out here in Australia.
