Hi Everyone,

I've got a TM burner S shaft driver. I like most things about it but being 170cm (5 foot 6 i think) the 46" is just simply too long.

my options:

1. Just grip down
2. get the shaft cut (does this affect the club in anyway? will the shaft become stiffer due to the less length?)
3. get the driver reshaft, if so what good driver shaft comes in 45"?

I am generally a smooth swinger with a relatively straight high ball flight which i like. I find with the 46" i push the ball alot.... the only club i do this with...

thanks in advance

I would first recomend choking down on it see how u like it and then make a decision, it is expensive to get a club completely reshafted

I play my driver @ 44". I started this for a little added accuracy and have been doing it long enough that my last 2 drivers were cut down an inch when I first bought them. It does stiffen it up a little but not enough make it feel to stiff. I can still put it out there with most even with an inch off.

I would first choke down, if you like it, then cut an inch off, and if for some reason you cut it to short then reshaft it (as a last resort or if you just want to upgrade the shaft).
