Tried the marketplace and not many views... trying this out in the general equipment forum.

just looking for anyone who has played both the 690 and 695 mb's and curious about their differences.

Looking for sets online in above average condition, willing to spend around 500

They're pretty much the same clubs. Its just the 695's have that z cavity thing that is supposed to balance the club better and move the sweet spot more towards the center instead of the heel like many forged irons. Who knows if thats true or not. Ive havent noticed much difference in the feel of the clubs. Though the 695's launch a little lower for me because i think they might be a degree strong. The top lines, set-up, and offsets are identical.

Appreciate the feedback, now I just have to find them...

right now I've searched high and low, ebay has plenty of sets but A) I always fear buying clubs off of ebay, B) they are not cheap

Global Golf has some in ok shape and they want just under 500

have you had any experience with the 670's... they have a set in above average shape for 350

Nah..never hit the 670's. But ill add the 5-3 irons in the 695mb set you're looking for are VERY difficult to hit. I find the cb. long irons a much more forgiving.

There's no cavity. It's still a muscleback, hence "MB."

FWIW, the CG in the 695s moved about 1/8 of an inch towards the toe - not a big deal - and as I said even in the ZM "field test," they're just a slight upgrade over the 695s. Same is true of the 695s over the 690s. OP, what's so wrong with your 735s?

The lofts are the same too.

Damn! I just sold a set of 690.MB's for $300. They were great clubs but I just wanted something more forgiving. I doubt my specs would have matched yours though.

There's nothing really wrong with my 735's, I just want to experiment with some blades for now, hence the reason I just dont go out and buy a brand new set of clubs

I play my 8,9,W well with the 735's and enjoy the set up of the blade. I'd like to experiment and experience the same make up with 5,6,7 all great points and noted!
