Anyone else play TM Rossa Daytona 1? I just got one recently and have to say that i just love it. I feel that the odyssey is a bit squishy feeling, while others have too much solid bounce to them. The Rossa line has a great mix of both worlds.

Also, what makes a Scotty Cameron so great/expensive? Is it basically reputation or is it actually worth $300

Your just paying for the name, although they look nice, i can find 100 other putters that feel the exact same if not better.

I can say the Yes! Putters feel so much better. for half the cost.

The Ping Anser G5i is what I have. It feels very similar to some of the Scottie Cameron's...and like Dent said, you can get it for half the price.

You are paying for the name mainly-however the materials to make the putter are probably a bit expensive. Also the MOI on Scotty putters are very high.Help mis-hits for sure.

Scotty Camerons look great - if looks are your thing, and you can afford it, they're the Rolls Royce of putters.

I prefer to hole more putts, more often.

Can't go wrong with Pings - great prices on the Karston series, i10's are nice too. Redwood too, if you want to spend Scotty Cameron type money on them. As for Rossa - you could do far worse with 100 bucks.

i used a TM rossa once for one round and i didnt care for it mainly cause i like to use a 33 and my friend was trying to sell me on his 35. no bite.

scotty 2 hotties are expensive, and have been since tiger won with it years ago. tigers dominance + titleist name x beautiful craftsmanship = good lawd dats alotta moneys!! i have a new studio select and wouldnt trade it for the world though. the look, the feel, the grip and craftsmanship is awesome. i will enjoy owning and playing, and practicing with this thing for years to come.

"im sorry, i cant hear you over the sound of how right i am."

I liked it a lot. The finish is beautiful but is prone to scratches.

I ended up getting a used Cameron, instead. I was looking for a Mizuno Bettinardi Black Carbon but they didn't have it in my area.

I have a quite a few of the better putters, two Scottys, several TwoBalls, Bettinardi, but the Rossa Monza Spider is WAY Better, in a class of its own. I now have several rounds under my belt with it and I'm making birdies and saving pars, that putter is not coming out of my bag, fantastic product.

Have total confidence now, leave a chip or a lag short, no problem, whether I make the putt or not, I feel like I'm going to make it which is a large part of making a putt.

    • Is it? I bought the Stack radar to replace my PRGR based on what Stack told me! When I am swinging for speed, the PRGR would miss 50%-80% of my backswings due to a higher speed. The stack seldom misses those- at least for me.
    • As an analyst by nature, I would like to compare the scores under both systems. It is something we can easily do if we have the data. I actually thought the new system was less fair to those whose game was on the decline - like mine! Old: Best 10 of last 20 scores with the .96 multiplier. Course handicap excluded course rating and overall par. New: Best 8/20. Course handicap includes course rating -par. My understanding is Stableford caps scores at Net double bogey like stroke play. If so, handicap should be slower to rise because you are only using 8 versus 10 scores. If I am missing something, I am curious enough to  want to understand what that may be. My home course tees that I play are 72.1/154 now. My best score out here is 82. When my game started to decline, my handicap didn’t budge for 13 rounds because of good scores in my first 8! I know I am an anomaly but my handicap has increased almost 80% in the past few years (with only a few rounds this year). For a few months I knew I was losing every bet because my game was nowhere near my handicap. I suspect I have steamrolled a few nuances but that shouldn’t matter much. When I have modeled this with someone playing the same tees and course, one good round, or return to form, will immediately reduce the handicap by some amount.
