Lead Tape on Shafts?

My 3-wood's shaft (Adams stock shaft) seems to be VERY tip flexible. This creates a nice 15 yard hook when i catch this club clean (makes me very afraid from the rough lol). So i was wondering if putting a strip of lead tape about going 2 inches up the shaft at the tip above the hozel would help to make the tip stiffer. Might be a stupid question, but just wondering

It would not alter the characteristics of the shaft. what's more it would make the heel end of your club head heavier and hook more. Someone correct me if I am wrong, but tip flex affects height more than direction. tip stiff gives you a lower ball flight and viceversa. You may have better luck sticking it behind the toe of the club. my 2 Cs.
