Titleist irons experts plz

I am starting to realize how much i like s300 shafts when i try them in different irons, but my 822os irons have regular light steel shafts. It will cost me about 220$ to get them all reshafted, more than the 150$ i paid for the clubs themselves. So i am looking to change to a non oversized face now as i feel that i am there and can put to use the effectiveness of a regular sized face.

Anyway, what titleist iron or even other brand would be something i could pickup for under 300$ that is a little more advanced than my current irons?

check out these ones on ebay, are they too blade like?

The 755's were poupluar for intermediate players for a while. You could probably get some 690's or even some 695cbs for that price pre-owned. A poster on here has a brand new set of 735cm's for 450 and you might want to give them a look too. Very good sticks.

About the shafts: I had a similar experience after years of playing off-the-shelf regular shafts...Once I hit with some stiffer ones, I realized what a good golf shot felt like!

About the clubs: I never hit those, but my friend didn't hit well with them. He is a single digit but only plays a handful of times a year. I would say if you thin it or fat it more than once a round then you might want to try another club. But then again, I like the idea of learning with less forgiving clubs since it gives you the feedback you need to improve.

By the way, when you buy off ebay, you need to check the lie and length...and not just "they are standard". See if they measure a 5 iron at 38" etc. I once bought a back up set of irons essentially for replacement heads (not looking to play with them). They didn't state it, but they were about 1" short and also flat.

well i did my homework. the sandtrap reviews on stuff are so good! Anyway i realized that the 775s would be no good for me as the longer irons have offset, and i'm a hooker. 755s would be perfect for me. the 735cms seem really neat too, but i'd have to "grow" into those a little :)

I have the 695cb's and i love them. They have a great look at address and they have the feel of a blade when hit right but are very forgiving. The 755's and 735cm's are great too, you cant really go wrong with any of these. I suggest trying to demo all of these and see which ones you like the best.
