I bought some of the I tours with the money I won but haven't used them yet.
Just wondering if anyone had tried either of their new balls and was wondering what they were like.
They seemed VERY soft when I felt the cover of them.
Driver Titleist 905R 9.5* (Stiff Prolaunch Blue 65g)
Hybrid: PT 585.H 17 * (Stiff titleist 75g shaft)
Irons: 695.cb 3-9 ( Dynamic Gold S300)

I bought a box of tour ix last weekend, and i was sceptical at first as i currently use the HX tour 56 and was worried i would losr control as the ix is the harder less spinny of the two.

I played 18 holes with one ball, it travelled about 1/2 a club furher than i'm used to, but it still stopped very quickly. There was a little loss in short gme control, but it wasn't drastic and i soon learnt to deal with it. The most pesing thing however was that after 18 holes of good use the ball was still perfectly useable. It did have a couple of scuffs on it, but a hx tour 56 would only have probably lasted 9 holes of the same play.

Overall i was very impressed. When the tour i comes over to england i will certainly give it a blast.

Driver - 905r 9.5* with UST Proforce VT Stiff
3 Wood - SQ 3+ 13* with Grafallloy prolaunch blue Stiff
5 Wood - SQ 5* 19 with Aldila NV65 stiff
Irons - MP 67 3 + 5-PW 2deg Up + 1/2" with DG S300 shaft.
Wedges - SV 52/10 with true temper s400 BV Spin Milled 56/10 Wedge Flex BV Spin Milled 60/04...

Yeah I didn't even know that the Tour I was in Australia yet, but it was there today so I decided to give them a spin.

Maybe that's just for the USA

Yes I didn't think they were, but somehow a proshop had one but no one else does.

GPP.Com has the IX for 36.99 as logo over runs but they have no logo's on them so I have been stocking up.The ball is superior in my estimation to the HX tour in feel and spin.It does not spin as much as the 56 but is longer than either of the older models.

      Is it? I bought the Stack radar to replace my PRGR based on what Stack told me! When I am swinging for speed, the PRGR would miss 50%-80% of my backswings due to a higher speed. The stack seldom misses those- at least for me.

      As an analyst by nature, I would like to compare the scores under both systems. It is something we can easily do if we have the data. I actually thought the new system was less fair to those whose game was on the decline - like mine! Old: Best 10 of last 20 scores with the .96 multiplier. Course handicap excluded course rating and overall par. New: Best 8/20. Course handicap includes course rating -par. My understanding is Stableford caps scores at Net double bogey like stroke play. If so, handicap should be slower to rise because you are only using 8 versus 10 scores. If I am missing something, I am curious enough to  want to understand what that may be. My home course tees that I play are 72.1/154 now. My best score out here is 82. When my game started to decline, my handicap didn’t budge for 13 rounds because of good scores in my first 8! I know I am an anomaly but my handicap has increased almost 80% in the past few years (with only a few rounds this year). For a few months I knew I was losing every bet because my game was nowhere near my handicap. I suspect I have steamrolled a few nuances but that shouldn’t matter much. When I have modeled this with someone playing the same tees and course, one good round, or return to form, will immediately reduce the handicap by some amount.
