I cannot believe how many short shots Michelson has mis-hit or judged around the green today. Anyone know what is going on or is that course just too tough?

They said phil was actually skulling his chips. He is attacking the hole trying to get spin, but hes not getting the spin he wants.

I heard one of the announcers say that Dave Pelz thinks he may have lost some feel and touch around the greens ever since he's started working out. LOL.

Yep he said that, because he has gained a little more muscele (sp?)

Too much science.
Step up to it, hit it, trust your instincts.
And may the Force be with you, Phil.

Hmm, that's pretty interesting to say the least. Maybe manboobs are really the secret to a spectacular short game...

Agreed. PM is one of the very top players in the world. He shouldn't be taking the advice of a slightly glorified number-cruncher as gospel. Golf is much more art than science.

I'd be interested in the physiological basis for Pelz's comment. I don't know why having a more efficient cardiovascular system, or having more muscle mass would affect the nerves that sense and convey instructions to muscle in a negative manner. Perhaps Pelz is just looking for excuses for the failure of his teaching.
