I am in the market for a new putter ever since I lost confidence in my Scotty Cameron. I just can't make a putt with it. However, I switched to my Dad's Never Compromise GM2 exchange 7 and had around 28 putts that round. Whereas with my scotty I am averaging around 32-33, and its frreakin terrible.

So I am trading in my Scotty, and looking for more of a mallet.

Above I have listed the poll options. Select one and give a reason or two why you selected it.

Thank you for your feed back

Sry I didn't get the poll up in time. Please just give a putter suggestion and reason why you picked it.

I'm really liking mine now. I have the Odyssey Sabertooth. The insert is really soft (something that helps a lot since I tend to hit the ball harder). Also it's weighted pretty well- I'm able to make a pretty smooth stroke with it.

However, if you were using a more traditional blade, I'm not sure how easy the transition would be to something so radical looking. If you can get over the look, which personally I really like, it's a great putter.

that'" -Nietzsche

ElTigre,

I have been using Anser style putters ever since I started playing golf and putting has been a strong point of my game. But I always wondered if I could putt better with a mallet. So I went to my club's golf shop and hit a bunch of different mallets on a real practice green looking for the one that seemed to offer to the best alignment aide, best feel, and best results.

That mallet, to my chagrin, was the TaylorMade Rossa Monza Spider. I thought the putter was just plain crazy looking. But I could not argue with the results.

I have played with it for 5 rounds now and a couple of hours on the practice green. I have to say that I am making more long putts than ever. I still don't have the distance control down like I did with my Anser putter. But I am quite close there. From inside 10 feet the putter is much better than my Anser. Overall, I am putting better with the mallet and I expect to get even better as I get used to it.

The Rossa Monza Spider isn't so crazy looking any more!!

So, unless there is some unexpected change, the Anser putter is second string....

I unno if it's exactly the greatest idea of getting a new putter over confidence issues all the time, but if the feel of it is gone for you i would suggest a Yes! from my own experience. I don't like the feel of many of the Yes! putters but the tracy II and the tiffany are the ones i really like. As for those big mallet putters im not so much a big fan. Tiffany though was an exception, but its not to to big anyways. C-Groove definately works great

Ty guys for your replies. I went to a local roger dunns and looked at every putter possible today, and came to a conclusion for a Never Compromise GM2 Exchange #1 that had just been marked down.

I like the clashing colors and feel. It just works for me.

So have you traded in your Scotty? What would you like in return? Also, would you sell it as well?
