MOI question

Ever since I started golf a couple years ago, (I am 14 right now) I have been using a driver I got in a junior's set. When I started it was fine, but now, as I have gradually developed a fasyer swing, I don't think it can handle it. When I hit the ball, it seems like the club wants to twist around the inside or outside of the ball. Even when I hit the sweet spot, it still feels weird. I have been hitting farther recently, but not very accuratly. Is this because of the low MOI of the driver?

just get a new driver...if not then reshaft your driver, you should be using a regular or stiff flex shaft depending on the speed of your swing

Im not sure I agree with that. See if there is a launch monitor in your area. Get analyzed on that before you jump in and buy a new piece of equipment.

Its the shaft on the driver. It is probably a junior flex and now im guessing that your swing speed is up around 85-90 and that junior flex can't catch up and is lagging behind because it is too whippy. You could probably use a regular flex shaft now. Id say get a used older adult driver that will fit you better because it is not worth it to spend money on reshafting a junior club unless you are really in love with it.

I am definitely going to have to get new clubs next year anyways, even my instructor says that. I was just kind of curious.

It's the shaft. It's too weak for your swing. It has nothing to do with MOI.
